The only difference is that the route computer is on the steering wheel, and it is very convenient. You can control the audio system both by means of buttons and directly from the active monitor. For the test, we took cars with the same engine and automatic transmissions. True, unlike Mazda, it was not an automatic on Outlander, but a variator. But for the average man, it does not matter by and large, the main thing is that the box relieves it from unnecessary from the clutch pedal and the gear shift knob. And nevertheless, the gear shift itself can be on Mazda, and on Mitsubishi. Only on the first it can be done by the ACP selector, but on the second submissive petals. The second option, of course, is more driven, but honestly, having closed once, you forget about this feature. On a good asphalt, cars behave approximately the same, except for the information content of the steering on the Outlander worse. Mitsubishi is inferior and in dynamics, and although the engine is weaker than four horses, the difference in acceleration up to a hundred reaches two seconds. It is impossible not to note that noise insulation is much better at Mazda, it is especially noticeable when overclocked with a pedal to the floor.


Colds on asphalt are not particularly affected by either machines nor passengers, but for fairness it is worth noting that, contrary to expectations, Mazda turned out to be a little softer, and its suspension is more energy intensive. The last quality was then useful when driving off road. Longer moves allowed the wheels not to lose contact with the road on Kosoyrats and the beggars. Outlander with equal conditions and tormented to suspend one, or even two wheels in the air. Somehow it is not painted off-road. Nevertheless, it was in the cabin of this crossover that there is a button by which you can choose the transmission mode. Re-pressing it, you can stop only on the front drive, allow transmissions to choose between the front and complete drive or constantly use the drive to all wheels.

In CX-5, something similar is absent, which comes to the idea of \u200b\u200binsufficient preparation of this car to a meeting with off-road. However, our experience has shown that not everything is so unequivocal. At first it really seemed that Outlander significantly exceeds CX-5 in this discipline, but ...

Minor obstacles to the car were really relatively easy. We completely quietly resulted in an abandoned road, abounding deep puddles, with a risking rut. Leaves on the dense wet sand on the beach. And even clouded a little on the shallows, raising the fan splashes. But all the most interesting started exactly when we decided to find out how sprinkling for cars loose sand. At first I succeeded in this Outlander. Pre-enabled four-wheel drive allowed the machine is quite easy to move for such a coating. CX-5 was not so agile. The thrust control system is also fragile the engine, not allowing the car to go with a smooth right. Only by transferring the box to manual mode and turning off the electronic bridle, from the car you can achieve something. It would seem that everything is clear, Outlander is better, but we decided to complicate the task. In the end, it is possible to overcome the sand trap on the front drive, and how will the cars behave if you make an intermediate stop? Started with Outlander. He easily took off to a small sandy hill, he stopped smoothly and was no longer able to touch without help. No matter how hard the driver tried, but to move the car with, it would seem that he did not succeed. The engine uncovered refused to promote above 2000 revolutions, and transmissions to transmit torque from it to the wheels. He jeshes, throw a signal to the brain to the brain, that the conditions are not a fountain, and immediately the engine sweeps. Apparently, thus manufacturers decided to protect the variator from overheating. It was worth a slightly to push the car as Outlander again began to dissect in the sand.

With Mazda, everything turned out to be much worse. When climbing on the same place, it turned out to be moved to the path much easier, but turning off the thrust control system, you need to clearly control the moment when the wheels are turning, but still push the car ahead, and when they turn and bury. Striding from the place, the driver agoned this moment, and CX-5 immediately buried. Invited as a tug of Outlander, too, was powerless, because, barely stretched the cable, he himself turned into a captive due to the features described above. It was not impossible to push his capabilities, because it is impossible to pop up a stretched cable. So stood this bundle, while we jogged Mazda, put the improvised ladders under the wheels found in the vicinity of the boards. After forty minutes of zealous labor, we still managed to lift the front part of the CX-5 above the surface and put under the front wheels of the board. But the rear wheel braces in the sand still kept the car in captivity, while the front helplessly grind parts, once former table. Without much enthusiasm, they decided to try to pull out the outlander again, and a miracle happened. Whether the Variator cooled, whether he contraded to stand tied to Mazda, but he also provided the prisoner to the prisoner, which was so lacked.
