Of course, Cherokee is not a stylistic masterpiece, but you can’t suspect it that it owes a square torso to artificial seizures in a jacket.
 
The opinion that the SUV is not a place in the metropolis is now you have to change, and partly due to the lack of equipment with the manual transmission from the car. For off-road, maybe not the best option, but for the city a significant plus, as well as a 2.8-liter 177-horsepower turbodiesel, connected with a five-speed automatic positioned as an economical and environmentally friendly. The same volume, but the 150-horsepower engine was already in the history of the model, but the current special, with automatic adjustment of the angle of turning the turbine blades. However, this is all theory.
 
In the meantime, I rejoice at excellent visibility both in front due to a very high landing and around the car: the area of \u200b\u200bmirrors is pleasantly surprising. And I am sincerely amazed that the size of the car is not at all giant: 4.5 m in length with a width of 1839 mm quite a bit in the present time. In a leather average stiffness of the chair, I feel inflated thanks to an almost sports support for the SUV and a vertical profile comfortable for the spine. It is a pity that the steering wheel can only be adjusted in height. The manufacturers also struggled to the site for the rest of the left leg, which, however, with a high landing, is quite comfortable on the floor. Yes, and the range of seats adjustments is sufficient so that with a height of more than 180 cm, only with their help to take a convenient position.

There were changes in the cabin. First of all, the front panel with the central console and the steering wheel became more modern and more convenient, but retained the chopped shape. Of course, the quality of the finishing materials leaves much to be desired: at least the knocks on a gray-black plastic from a booming sound cannot be left. But the creaks are not heard, the cracks in the conjugation are not visible, and the laconic to minimalism looks not at all wretched to minimalism. The driver who bought Cherokee to enjoy the beauties of the world around him, and not be touched by the buttons and handles of the salon, nothing else needs. Probably because the buttons on the central console is a minimum. We do not take the control of the climate control, and with the audio system (cheers, it has mp3!), Sounding, by the way, decent thanks to the speakers in the houses that outstanding from the door panels, it was not difficult to figure it out. Of course, for additional money, Iroquois can be equipped with both a two -day touch multimedia station with navigation, and a cloth multi -layer sliding hatch in the size of a roof for hunting with wheels. But even without this, there are enough comfortable trifles. One folding, and from the remote control, the glass of the rear door is worth it, and the chair that moves back when leaving the car deserves praise. The rear row is laid out in a proportion of 60:40 and is convenient for two adult passengers. True, for the SUV, the trunk is not very large 419 liters, however, due to the folded backs, it increases to 1404 liters plus an even floor and almost square opening.

However, not so much comfortable little things as the well -coordinated work of turbodiesel, transmission, suspension and steering with a hydraulic power steering are provided to the driver. Several hours of crowds in traffic jams with periodic trips to direct only confirmed the convenience of using Cherokee even in the city. With a radius of a U -turn of 5.4 m you do not feel constrained, and three and a half turning from stops to stops on the steering wheel is not the worst indicator for jeeps. But diesel oh, how deceptive and nimble he is! While they crawled in the gaps, it seemed that the gas pedal is sluggish and slurred: he crushed the car, as if reluctantly, was touching the place to stop through a meter. However, at the first free traffic light, I press the accelerator sharper and fully feel what the maximum torque is at 2000 rpm. Instant pickup, and Chirk and I are inaccessible even for resourceful cars. Naturally, he is not a sports car, and off -road suspension settings make themselves felt. He throws herself on bumps, but it is worth entering the turn and Jeep shows miracles of equanimity, not even thinking of heating, but a good track is his element at all. The most amazing thing is that even with such loads on the engine, you can’t call the car too voracious: 14 liters per hundred, taking into account traffic jams, are not at all bad for almost two-tonnik.
