The answer is simple. Sonata NF is one of the latest representatives of the Hyundai lineup, remaining from old times. In the near future on the market it will be replaced by model I50. So I wanted to capture in my memory what the Korean automaker represented earlier, so that it was easier to compare with what Hyundai came to in the process of its update.

The first impression: Sonata NF is very voluminous. Visually, the car is not inferior in size to its solid classmates. The second impression: Sonata is controlled better than some classmates, and even more eminent. Railing relations and the angles of the front wheels deviations make a maneuver on the road and the Sonata NF parking is very unprofitative. The behavior of the car in both cases is quite predictable (which, I repeat, we can not say about everyone). The radius of the turn allows you to fit into any shogulins of yards. The only remark: when moving on the highway, I would like more information and sharpness of the steering wheel. But this, rather, stems from my spoiling, you should not expect from Sonata NF that cars are demonstrated by a noticeably greater cost. Moreover, the Korean machine was not seen by the worse and worse in these indicators.

But in terms of pedals, Hyundai engineers have a clear flaw. Fortunately, there are no complaints about the brake. There is no need to adjust the reaction to pressing the brake pedal is quite adequate. On the dry road, the brake system works perfectly. On the chess (asphalt / snow / ice), when ABS comes into business, demolitions are observed. However, they are insignificant, and are easily adjusted by small turns of the steering wheel.

Problems, in my opinion, exist with gas and clutch pedals. The root cause is that the engine of Hyundai Sonata NF is old -fashioned - it gives a fairly large torque only at a fairly high speed. The weak information content of the pedals exacerbates this drawback. I twice the engine twice at the beginning of movement from the traffic light, and only then my legs remembered how to act in such situations.

There is one more remark to the gas pedal, it is hypothetical for the reason described below. I failed to make a long track mileage on Hyundai Sonata NF. However, after about one and a half hundred kilometers of the highway, it seemed that the angle of installation of the gas pedal was not entirely successful. At a cruising speed of 90-100 km/h, the foot of the right leg has to be kept at an unnatural angle, and it is quite possible that on a long trip it can cause trouble. But, I repeat, this is not a well -founded impression.

After I managed to restore the skills of handling a weak engine on the bottom, he completely arranged me. Its capacity and moment in combination with well -chosen gear ratio of the checkpoint are enough so that it is not a disabled person on the street. Yes, Sonata NF is not suitable for city races, but it is not required from it. And for a calm family movement, this car is very well adapted.

The internal volumes of the machine fully meet its dimensions. It is spacious in the cabin, the trunk is large, and a variety of combinations of passengers + cargo, folding in a proportion of 1: 2, can transport a 1: 2 back.

Sonata NF suspension can be called intermediate. It conceals small irregularities quite well, but large bumps can not do it. In sharp turns, the car begins to slightly roll the board for comfort. To complete the impressions, it should be tested at a full load, but in general it did not leave negative emotions.

Noise insulation along the wall of the motor compartment is good (this is partly explained by my embarrassment with the gallowing engine of the engine is difficult to control by ear). The sound from the wheels is somewhat strongly, but it must be borne in mind that Sonata was shut on studded rubber.

The main impression that Sonata NF left me was that Hyundai experts care not only about the feelings of the driver, but also about his wallet. An example of this is the front seats. They have a good set of adjustments and are deprived of electric drives. Even the adjustment of the lumbar support is performed manually, I have encountered this for the first time.

Summary. Hyundai Sonata NF is a solid family car. At the same time, its purchase is not too burdensome for the family budget. Now the lower price (taking into account the discounts of the manufacturer) is ~ 710 thousand rubles. Machines of previous years of production can be bought twenty thousand cheaper. The closest competitor will cost more (unless, of course, this is the KIA fraternal brand car).

Hyundai specialists in the person of Sonata NF managed to create a very attractive cost / quality of the car. Let's see what the successor to the I50 model will be.
