For the test of the new Hyundai i30, we decided to make a car trip from Moscow to Kiev to the European Football Championship final.


In five days they managed to check the car in the city and on the highway, to evaluate its capacity at border control points and even chat with Ukrainian Dades.

Four in the morning, Moscow only wakes up, lonely trucks wheel in the Moscow Ring Road, and the company of three friends is already rushing towards the main football event of the last two years of Euro 2012.

Electrically regulatory seat? My friend asked in surprise, who led the car, and, having received an affirmative response, nodded significantly. This feature is very useful in long trips when drivers must replace each other four times a day.


The car feels perfectly on the roads with poor-quality coverage

Engine power is clearly not enough to quickly maneuvering on the country track. Although it should be noted that in the car there were three adults and the trunk was scored to failure. But the fuel consumption was pleased with the cost effectiveness: subject to the full load of the car and constant overtaking on the full gas, it was 6.5 liters per 100 km.

The road after Kaluga was finally spoiled, and here one of the main advantages of the car is modeled soft and energy-intensive suspension. The car easily swallowed road irregularities, without a slightest hint of a star.
Hospitable Sunny Kiev met us with a complete lack of local population (4-day public holidays have affected) and invasion of foreign tourists. The little Babylon was arranged on Khreshchatyk, where thousands of Europeans watched football broadcasts on huge LED screens.


Seats are equipped with all possible adjustments.

Flex Steer function was very useful in the city, which allows you to adjust the steering force and makes maneuvering by narrow streets. But neither parking sensors, no rear view cameras by car.
Kiev hilly city. If Moscow was built on seven hills, then Kiev, apparently, have a couple of hundreds. You go either up, or down. In such situations, when it is often to park on the slopes, the function that we never used before this, the electronic parking brake, suddenly showed itself. More pleasure than just pressing the button to put the car on the handbrake, it's hard to search.

A funny case occurred on the way back, when we were stopped by a local guard guarder. Beying for the violation of the speed regime, the inspector asked: did you have anything left after football? Having received a negative answer and looking at the car, he suddenly said: a happy way! And gave rights. Here is such a magical power of Hyundai i30.
