Suzdal is an amazing city spread between the fields, sparkling with the peaks of churches, bell towers and serf towers. This is perhaps one of the few places in Russia, where the distinctive spirit of the Russian people is still preserved.Mindful of all this, we have long planned a trip to Suzdal, and, in an early frosty morning, in the company of the White Honda CR-V Mugen, we advanced, hoping to get a portion of positive emotions and plunge into the world of the rich history of this wonderful city.
Our trip fell on a long three -day weekend. If you are going to Suzdal with an overnight stay and want to remove a good inexpensive place with a real Russian bath, fragrant tea and homemade jam, then I strongly advise you to do this in advance, since three days before our departure were already more or less acceptable places.
The easiest way to get to Suzdal along the Gorky highway. The departure from Moscow with the Enthusiasts highway or the Moscow Ring Road to the Gorky highway highway Moscow Nizhny Novgorod (M7), and then the direct road, without turning anywhere, leads to the border of the city of Vladimir. If you do not plan a visit to Vladimir, then significantly reduce your way by curling up on a bypass road. Turn at the fork in front of the entrance to the city under the index of Ivanovo, Suzdal. Despite the fact that we left at about 7 in the morning and there was a decent frost on the street, there were already quite a few summer residents on the highway. In addition, the M7 road is replete with a large number of freight transport. The quality of the roadway itself is acceptable, however, on the border of the regions there are problem areas. However, even on the test CR-V Mugen with its 18-inch wheels, we did not feel any special problems. For those who are going to leave just as early, I strongly advise you to grab the sunglasses, since the direction of the eastern road and in the morning the sun hits the eye.
Those who like to sleep can seriously get into Balashikha with her inconspicuous number of traffic lights, so it is better to leave on a weekend early.
Throughout all 200 km to Suzdal, many settlements are found with a permitted speed of not more than 60 km/h. Employees of traffic police use this with might and main. It is worth being especially attentive in cover, cockerels, bee, Kerzhach, as well as Demidov and Lakinsk.
On the way to Suzdal there are many interesting places that can be visited if there is a desire to take a break from the road. In the city of Petushki, two interesting museums of local history and the only museum of the Rooster in Russia. In Lakinsk, where at the end of the 20th century a beer plant was built, there is a store of excellent spitting beer, however, due to its naturalness, it is kept only 2-3 days.
Now a little about Honda CR-V Mugen itself. The mugen prefix is \u200b\u200bthe abbreviated name of the Japanese company Mugen Motorsports, formed back in 1973. The company produces spare parts and accessories for Honda cars, and also engages in sports finalization of Honda cars and sets them in competitions, for example, at the Japanese Super GT series. In our case, the Mugen package was limited to lining on the front and rear bumper, modified thresholds, a new radiator grille, and other rear spoiler. Despite the insignificance of changes in appearance, the Mugen package added freshness and sports to the crossover. In addition, Mugen modification is more expensive than a regular version of only 17,000 rubles.
As for the interior decoration, here everything is strictly, stylishly and in Europeanly worthy. Despite the widespread use of hard plastic, all the panels are fitted evenly, and textured plastic is pleasant to the eye.
Plain is also at a decent level. Wide doors simplify the entrance/exit and nullify the chance to stain clothes on dirty thresholds. The floor in the Honda CR-V salon is absolutely even. The transmission lever is located on the front panel, and the lack of a console between the front seats allows you to easily get back from the car without leaving the car. Due to the absence of the central tunnel, all the way to Suzdal and back (about 400 km), three rear passengers felt free.
The rear seat pillow is divided in a ratio of 40:60, and the back is 40:20:40. Such a layout allows you to transport long -sized items simultaneously with the placement of two passengers from behind. The rear sofa has longitudinal adjustment, which allows you to increase the space for the rear passengers or make the luggage compartment more spacious.
The 2.4-liter engine, which appeared in 2008 a year after the start of sales CR-V with a 2.0-liter 150-horsepower engine, noticeably revived the temperament of the Japanese. The power increased to 166 hp, and the torque grew by 28 nm, and 80% of its maximum value (220 Nm) is reached already at 2000 rpm. The top engine is aggregated only with a 5-speed automatic transmission.
With such a Honda CR-V engine, the crossover still does not pretend to be records of speed records. The declared acceleration to a hundred in 10 seconds of Honda fully justifies, but things are worse on the highway. At high -speed overtaking, the main competitor in the person of Toyota Rav4 behaves clearly and more fervently. In turn, CR-V takes comfort, more calm reactions and excellent smooth switching automatic transmission. The fuel consumption was surprised by the sufficiently large fuel consumption, which even on the highway did not drop below 15 liters per 100 km. The aforementioned RAV4 eats two, or even three liters less.
After only two hours, we reached Suzdal without incident. The first thing that catches the eye is an almost complete absence of modern buildings. All houses are no higher than two or three floors, thanks to which the city has been preserved as a single architectural ensemble, which has developed for more than nine centuries. Suzdal is a city of temples, churches, fortresses, cathedrals, monasteries. Wherever you are, everywhere there is some historical building, with its special history.
In the evening it was necessary to return to Moscow, so we decided to focus only on the main attractions. For those who have a lot of time, we advise you to visit a sightseeing tour of the city, which even sellers of souvenirs offered us for a moderate fee.
The main attraction of Suzdal is the Kremlin, in the place of which the city itself began to be built in the 12th century. Now the Suzdal Kremlin is a museum, with numerous expositions dedicated to the history of the Suzdal land, famous characters associated with it, treasures from monasteries and churches, ancient Russian painting and applied art. The museum is open daily from 10.00 to 18.00, except for Tuesday and the last Friday of each month. In the lower refectory of the bishop chambers, the restaurant of the refectory works, where you can pamper yourself with branded dumplings.
In the city center on Lenin Street there is an area with shopping rows, where various souvenirs are sold: from wooden crafts of local masters to real antiques. Here you can purchase a Suzdal mead of an alcoholic drink prepared using bee honey and yeast through fermentation. True, upon arrival home, we found that in Moscow stores it is almost two times cheaper than on the shelves of Suzdal.
Suzdal is a wonderful city, about which to tell everything at once is simply impossible. To feel this city, it must be seen with your own eyes. And if you want to be imbued with his identity, the mentality of the inhabitants, to feel all the local flavor on yourself, wander around the fortresses and cathedrals, then you need to live at least a few days there. Therefore, leaving Suzdal, we decided to return here, at least for a day.
