Now we are trying on the third version of the model, this time with a new gasoline engine.
Honda CR-V almost immediately found buyers in our country: after all, in addition to the classical field, there was nothing in the market at that time. Or there was almost no: Toyota Rav4 appeared approximately at the same time. For 10 thousand dollars you could buy a car in a very decent state, and for 14-16 and in general in ideal. A light and light spacious body, the absence of a tunnel between the front seats by car with a machine gun, the variator hilt was on the steering column, and good running qualities. In a word, a real passenger car in an SUV costume.
 
Of course, only a complete scumbag could go to storm a serious off-road on it, but the CR-V passed along the bumps and potholes of the ground roads with a bang. And more from her was not required.
I honestly admit that it was Paul-Purvengen who personally liked me immediately. And therefore, when he continued six years later, the author of these lines took him in hostility. Forms are angular, high-eyed lighting technology yes, noise insulation has become better, an engine with variable phases of gas distribution I-VTEC And when the third generation CR-V entered the Russian market! .. I am not enthusiastic about its appearance. No, the car looks very good on the side. Stylish edging of the windows, expressive feed. But here is the design of the front line if in the previous version of the headlights were frankly heavy, then on the contrary they did not have enough scale. The upper grille of the radiator protrudes forward, as if it was squeezed out from under the hood. And the powerful bumper ends the picture the only detail that is in its place. However, this, of course, is a purely subjective opinion, and I do not impose it at all. In general, the car, I admit, is pretty
Color matters
The first personal acquaintance with the new Honda CR-V happened to me long before the city test drive, in the vastness of the Dmitrovsky district. Here, the journalistic fraternity was offered to test the novelty of 50 kilometers of the highway, rolled paths, snow, nothing serious.
He rode with a sense of prejudice. Something was confirmed, something is not.
The inside of the Honda is made of rather hard plastic. Although quite high quality. And the fitting of the details is generally higher than all praise: the gaps are so minimal that the nail cannot be inserted. Perhaps I would like something softer, but the car is positioned as an SUV, and the dirt from plastic is easier to clean than from velor or something else.
 
Actually, a lot can be forgiven for the salon of the new CR-V. The olive skin of the seats and the salon itself are dark top and the olive bottom really liked. The optimal position at the wheel is adjusted in height and by departure (departure could be more) almost immediately. Electroregulations of the seat from the side, their range is large. The steering wheel may be thin the same bagel and on the new Civic. True, the purpose of the grate on the lower spoke is still incomprehensible. The steering wheel, of course, multi: Music management and on -board computer. But there are no transmigration petals, as there is no manual mode in the automatic transmission.
 
The lever of the box itself is located on the tide to the beard of the dashboard, so on the floor is still free. True, in the parking position, the knob closes part of the keys of the side glasses to look for by touch. But the microclimate management cannot be found. Everything is convenient and understandable. Apparently, the new CR-V is clearly not for smokers. The cigarette lighter is located at an altitude of 20 centimeters from the floor, so that it will have to be reached.
 
The doors are very well decorated: the inner hands resembles a connecting rod in shape. The only at first glance, the extra part is a plastic insert for a nut. But since it has a continuation on the front panel (the same color of the glove box) can be reconciled.
 
And then I turned the key and the rim of the speedometer and the odometer lit up with rich blue color. Very beautiful!
The trip of the triple-computer, in my opinion, is overloaded with information. Everything is displayed here and immediately the average fuel consumption and temperature overboard, the position of the doors and seat belts in my opinion, a lot of superfluous. But there are enough containers for all sorts of things. You can start with an eyelet equipped with a panoramic mirror: you can look at yourself and check what happens behind. There are small pockets in the doorway, there is a full -fledged glove compartment in addition to the glove box. And between the seats are a deep voluminous box closed by a shifted curtain.
And the back is spacious. The luggage compartment only at first glance is small (556 liters). If, for example, as my family passengers are children in the family, then the rear sofa can be moved forward either entirely and in parts, significantly increasing the volume behind it.
Vilitary does not call us
So, under the hood now a new 2.4-liter I-VTEC, the power of which, compared with a two-liter predecessor, increased by 16 hp. 166 horses against 150 in a two-liter version.
The torque increased by 28 Nm, so the SUV became noticeably more frowning. But still, virgin snow is still not for CR-V. As stated in a press release, all wheels are used only when the adhesions of the two front are not enough. Feeling the slightest slip, the Real Time 4wd system connects the rear wheels in a split second. However, a share of seconds is sometimes not enough.
 
As usual, one of the journalistic teams decided to take beautiful photos in a snowdrift. They climbed into the snowdrift, but the car had to be pushed back manually. The front wheels, untwisted by too frisky gas, quickly hung wet snow, and when the electronics that pushed the rear -wheel drive came into business, it was too late. However, this should be expected: the test organizers immediately warned that the all-wheel drive in CR-V 2.4 is connected in extremely difficult conditions. To which I will add from myself it is better not to get.
But on straight, CR-V was extremely frisky, albeit noisy, especially in the rear seats.
Another thing is the city!
They say you don’t believe in love at first sight, look again. And repeated acquaintance with CR-V on city streets noticeably shook my original opinion.
This Honda is really a SUV, the element of its flat asphalt. Especially for the road to work, the Moscow Ring Road in those hours when morning congestion does not begin or already behind. Got a rare pleasure!
 
But, of course, the path begins in the yard. In my standard pencil case, designed for the sedan, CR-V would not fit. I had to put under the windows, in a snowdrift. Snow fell at night, and the car itself turned into a snowdrift. Go to the garage for a brush? Reluctance. It’s cold in the cabin, but after a couple of minutes heating the seats makes the stay inside comfortable. And maximized blowing of the anterior and side glasses quickly provides a review. Well, will we get out of the snowdrift? Yes Easy!
 
Our yards are closely crowded in the southwest, and morning it is also the delivery of schoolchildren to the first lesson. Two cars will not be parted here, and one of them clearly has to storm the icy curbs. One thing is for me, especially since for Honda CR-V this is not a problem.
But finally, the operational scope.
The gas pedal is enough for a one and a half -ton car to rush forward, like a stone thrown from the catapult. Of course, this is not Cayenne, not Lexus but honest 10 seconds to a hundred is not bad. And how exactly goes! I spat CR-V on the Kolyness. True, at the junctions and potholes sometimes thrown, and once it seemed that Honda did not have rubber tires, and steel rollers but controllability is quite at the level. True, not everything is clear with the steering wheel amplifier. At low speeds, it is poured with effort, and the faster, the easier it seemed. But I got used to it quickly.
The brakes are very informative and obedient, and even when braking to the floor, the car does not lead the yuz on a slippery road. The machine is very well tuned to increase during acceleration of gear shifts only to be judged by the ranges of the odometer arrows: here the revolution set, the arrow overcame the 4,000th line and fell to 2000. Again, the set is smooth and swift. But if you lose the gas, you feel the switching down what is called a liver, spleen and other insides.
 
Despite the relatively small height of the car a little more than 160 cm, you sit high at the wheel, the overview is magnificent. The rolls are small, and even in a steep turn, the probability of overturning is small: the engineers lowered the location of the center of gravity by 35 mm. So in the city of Honda CR-V, a very maneuverable car is only a few times, after snowfall, during a sharp turn with the addition of gas, a slight skidding of the rear axle was felt. Sustainability is responsible for stabilization systems of VSA and emergency braking EBD+EBA. And to squeeze in narrow intervals and parking lots helps to park.
 
Of course, without minuses, it could not do it. The main one, of course, is fuel consumption. This time I could not check the car outside the city. And in the city cycle, fuel consumption was very decent. I got the car with an average consumption of 15.3 liters per hundred kilometers. And, despite the quick warfare on the Moscow Ring Road, I managed to reduce this consumption by only one tenth.
 
The bay of the half -tank, I quickly received the calculation of the residual run of 250 kilometers. But I did not have time to get to the editorial office, as in the dry remnant it turned out to be a maximum of 190 km, and this despite the fact that I really drove about ten. Bulware, and the tank is small, only 58 liters.
 
Instead of conclusion
Honda CR-V 2.4, which I got on the test, was made in the richest configuration of Executive 5at Leather. With a leather interior and automatic, this modification costs 1,079,000 rubles. A version with a fabric salon 1,049,000 rubles. Although I believe that the 30,000th break in much importance does not matter at such a price!
What place will this car take in its market segment? She has plenty of competitors. This is the Nissan X-Trail with a very rich line of engines and transmission in configuration with a 2.5-liter engine (169 hp) and a variator it costs 1,006,700 rubles. There is another equally serious competitor to Toyota RAV-4, also with a 2.4-liter engine, but with a capacity of 170 hp. 1,100,000 rubles. You can also name the Hyundai Santa Fe with a 2.2 engine (150 hp) and 2.7 liters (189 hp) from 1,120,000. It is also worth turning on other parking lots, about which AI at one time They wrote in sufficient detail. This is Opel Antara, and Chevrolet Captiva, and Jeep Compass all in almost one price niche. So, as we see, the competition is great.
Dad, will you leave this car for yourself? The five-year-old daughter asked me, who really liked going to CR-V to kindergarten. What can she answer to this? .. I don’t know, baby, I don’t know.
