At the end of last year, the motor already talked about Honda Civic with a hatchback body, now the line of the sedan came. The Japanese decided to present a new product in the chic resorts of Antalya. Were there? Then yes, about the gorgeous I bent.

Antalya for a Russian person now instead of Sochi - almost everyone has been there at least once. Our silts fly here, hotel staff shudder from Klich Tagil, and, in a sense, Civic in the back of the sedan should be closer to a complex five-door: after all, it will be produced in Turkey.

For the first trip, I chose a snow -white car and recovered from Antalya towards the ancient city of Side - a typical route of a tourist weary of Olynclusive. There was no particular variety among cars: everything with the engine is 1.8 liters and all in maximum configuration. Only a few colors and two gearboxes are mechanical and automatic. I voted for the machine gun.


The sedan looks stately. The headlight line smoothly passes to the glasses and all this ends with a laconic trunk. Someone will surely see Peugeot 407 in the profile, and at the back of Sivik inexorably resembles the Toyota Camry of previous generations. But in general, very attractive. Signal signals were also abandoned from the dull round feet. In general, if you recall what the Hondians did a little earlier with a five -door, then this sedan is just a handsome man.

But you look into the salon, and a light ramp comes. Stop. What about customer reviews, new high -tech materials? Where is the soft plastic? Deaf! More precisely, loud.

Interior


Ergonomics in the new sedan is very good. In the Sivik salon, you will not meet either cunningly hidden keys, neither strange controls. Pleasant backlight, well -read devices. That's just the glove compartment painfully falls to the passenger's knees.


I was pleased with the simple and laconic design of the radio. There is no overload with functions, all buttons are in its place. And the music sounds quite worthy. It is only a pity that navigation cannot be built into it. We'll have to wait for a solution in the style of the salon from third -party manufacturers.


The places behind are enough for three not particularly well -fed passengers. Thanks to the competent layout, the engineers managed to find several extra centimeters for the legs and knees of the rear passengers even despite the shorter wheelbase (-30 millimeters). The armrest is hidden in the pillow.

I was hoping to see the five-door salon, but the interior of the sedan is different and the plastic here is oak. Of course, you won’t understand this from the photo, but in reality and the central console looks slightly stooped, with a small hump under the radio.

The seats were disappointed. There is no lumbar backup even in a top configuration. More precisely, he is, but they are only put forward to the maximum, and it is impossible to remove it - there is no regulator. My capricious back could not stand it and quickly began to whine. It’s good that the unpleasant surprises ended on this.


Sea, Seagulls, Sivik, Turkey

On the local two -lane highways, here and there, Lukoil, which were taught by gas stations, will not particularly accelerate. The restriction of 90 kilometers per hour, and the local policy does not sleep. I stealthily accelerate to 120 when overtaken, but the temperament of Honda Civic will not fall even at higher speed.

The engine on the sedan is the same as the five -door - 1.8 liters, 142 horsepower. The practical Sivik is what you need. With a mechanical box, acceleration to hundreds takes 8.7 seconds, and with an automatic machine 10.7.


With the location of the devices, the Japanese guessed. Everything is very clear - just a bright tachometer before you, a little higher than the speed and other sensors, to the right of the multifunctional display (I -Mid) to which the image is displayed from the rear view camera. Conveniently and not at all overloaded. And they have not forgotten about electronic lotions. In the armrest hides a USB connector for players, and the display shows not only the name of the performer, but also the picture of the album.

Basically, I drove on a sedan with a machine gun (I already tested a mechanical box on a hatchback). The usual, good automatic transmission. If you wish, you can achieve quite decent dynamics on the highway, by pushing the kikdown, and in the city it does not remind of yourself: the programs here are long, so there is often no need to change them. In the trim levels Executive and Premium, steering wheel petals appear, but I did not feel the special need for them.


The new sedan has not lost either comfort or controllability

I remember just a few months ago, the Japanese swore and swore that there was nothing better than a well -tuned beam in the rear suspension. But here I am going on a sedan, who has the same multi -link from behind as on the model of the previous generation. There are no hydraulic bushings here either! The sedan seems slightly tougher than the hatchback, but how great it is turning! It feels like the car is not very tapping, while on a bad road the suspension works with all its might. It was made a little longer, so now the car easily swallows not only bumps, but also rather large pits.

The difference between hatch and sedan in handling at the level of nuances. And now the five -door seems to be softer and more comfortable, and the sedan is more tenacious.


Compared to the previous Civic in the cabin, it became a little more spacious. The Japanese also assure that they were able to add almost 105 liters of useful volume.

Having reached almost Bodrum, I thought about how this car will differ from competitors? What is it that you will not meet the Koreans, Germans, or other Japanese? Yes, Civic has become tougher to twist 10 percent, and at the same time dropped the weight by seven percent. It's all about the wider use of high -strength steels: 55 percent of the body are made of them, against 50 predecessor. But this is unlikely to surprise anyone.

Sivik became more economical, but only five percent, therefore, buyers in Russia are unlikely to think about a hypothetical ability to save about 0.3 liters of fuel per hundred kilometers.


Sivik's ability to save fuel flaunted. To the left of the steering wheel there is a green button, you will press, and nagging about the inconsistency of the flow of passport data dissolves as smoke. That's just the car turns into a living corpse. The consumption is really reduced, but pleasure is zero. It is much better arranged a system for helping the driver, which works without a green button: this is a little crush the gas pedal and the speedometer turns blue, and let go, turns green. If you do not want to upset the car, hold the momentum in the green zone. And no stray is needed.

Safety? The Japanese talk about this with pleasure: the renewed body began to better distribute the power of the blow, the seats of the new structure appeared, which, when impact, protect the riders thanks to the spring -loaded pillows and head restraints. I improved visibility in the close Turkish streets I did not have to reach for the steering wheel to look behind the rack before the turn, and the noise insulation of the finalization of the wheel arches, a motor compartment and the trunk were subjected to the finalization.

Everything is fine. The only question is, is this enough to fight for the buyer?


Among the new electronic assistants is the VSA+EPS system. In a situation where the driver loses control of the car in the bend, the car itself tells where to steer: in the right direction the steering wheel turns easier, and in the wrong one with effort. According to engineers, this will tell the driver how to repay the skid. The whole Russian group of journalists, in joy here and there, flew into turns, imitated incorrect actions, but in vain. No one has felt how this system works.

And this is a serious question. After all, a democratic price (even with reservations), as it was with his predecessor, Sivik-Sedan will now not surprise: having rise in price by at least 50 thousand rubles, depending on the configuration, he now does not just fall into the upper price range of his segment C, but Looks at the model of a more prestigious class D Mazda6 2.0 with an automatic machine and climate, for example, costs only 30 thousand more than the top version of Honda Civic.

Upon arrival in Sid, we were told how Sivik take care of scattered drivers. In the maximum configuration, it is equipped with the engine start button and a bearing, which can be abandoned, for example, in a bag, and it in the trunk. But the cunning car will not let the keys lock and immediately open the lid back. This reminded me of a suitcase that spontaneously opened after trying to steal a terry robe from the hotel.

But how well they came up with everything: they painted beautifully, did not ruin anything globally, and they even decided to collect the sedan in Turkey to minimize the influence of the high course of Yena on pricing. If the sedan cost a little more expensive than its Korean counterparts, and the hatchback would be sold at the prices of the top focus and Astra, but it seems that Sivik is waiting for another fate.

With such prices, the new Civic both in the sedan version and the hatchback body risks getting into a very narrow segment only for fans. However, Honda always has the hope of salvation: competitors can also rise in price.

Alternative
Mazda3. The current treshka looks quite fresh and pleases with soft, high -quality materials of the cabin. If you do not remember how many years the car has been present on the market, then the treshka seems to be a rather seductive offer. Prices start from 625 thousand rubles for the simplest version with 1.6 on the handle and end in the area of \u200b\u200b904 thousand for a two -liter version with a machine gun in full minced meat. By the level of equipment, these two Japanese are similar like two rolls on a plate.

Chevrolet Cruze is a dangerous competitor Civic. The Korean sedan in the maximum configuration costs as the average version of the Japanese - 819 thousand rubles. Two 1.6 and 1.8 engines with a capacity of 109 and 141 horsepower are offered to choose from. The car interior is somewhat reminiscent of Opel Insignia, but the quality of the materials is much lower. In terms of dynamics, the Korean is seriously inferior because of a thoughtful machine gun. Luke and xenon are not available for Cruze, but you can order a leather interior.

Ford Focus. If you close your eyes to too catchy (for some) the design of the cabin and pay attention to the minimum prices (from 532,000 rubles), then Focus will seem almost the best option. But if you assemble a dream car in the configurator, noting all pleasant options with ticks, then Focus is able to overtake the Civic sedan at a price. True, we are talking about top two -liter engines with a PowerShift robot - diesel and gasoline. With a more democratic 1.6 (125 hp) the price will be lower.
