Honda Sivik

Model - Honda Sivic 1.5i LS VTEC; manufacturer - Honda Motor Company; year of release - 1997; in operation - since March 1998; The mileage at the time of the report is 6 thousand km.
In March of this year, the fleet of our publishing house was replenished with another car. Honda Sivik was bought from an official dealer for 23 thousand dollars. The price for a car with a 1.5-liter engine at first glance seems very high: for this money, it is quite possible to purchase a couple of Nissan-Almer with a Vazovskaya six in addition.
But let's count differently. After all, we paid for a modern five-seater sedan with a 114-horsepower engine with four valves on a cylinder and a VTEC system, which regulates the phase and lifting valves depending on the revolutions, with air conditioning, electric windows, the brakes, the steering wheel, two safety pillows, two sets of rubber (summer and winter) and cast aluminum wheels. There are other explanations that Sivik is the most expensive car in its class.
Firstly, the engine. How many more than one and a half -liter hopeless engines are developing such an impressive power? Therefore, the dynamic qualities of the car are such that they cannot even dream of the owners of Samar or Near. The Honda accelerates up to 100 km/h from a place for 10.4 s, and the maximum speed according to the passport (the car was not checked at the landfill) - 192 km/h. Secondly, this car is by no means small, both in size of the salon and in overall. It is hard to believe, but the Honda Sivik sedan is more than the most popular BMW of the 3rd series (E36)! Finally, appearance. When the next generation of Siviks appeared in 1995, the design of the machine seemed unusual, but three years later the appearance of the machine is quite consistent with time and fashion and, importantly, the car is well recognizable.
The quality of manufacture is at the highest level, there is definitely nothing to complain about: the exact fitting of the body panels, the excellent quality of the color, no extraneous sounds in the cabin - the upholstered panel to the touch of upholstery seemed to have grown together with the body. The doors are closed perfectly, as on more expensive cars.
There is not a single flocation in the engine compartment, but there’s enough dust - after all, for six months in Moscow. There is no full protective pallet, and the dirt raised by the front wheels managed to form bizarre stains on the inside of the hood.
The motor is magnificent! At first, it seems that the engine with such a forcing should be inflexible, but you have to switch the transfers no more often than in the six. And most importantly, after 5000 rpm, he begins to pull. It turns out, as it were, two engines in one: sports and burdened.
The skeptic will definitely notice that the engine still noticeably lacks torque below 2000 rpm, however, this almost does not affect the touch from the place. But in the second gear, with an accelerator released, it may stall. But at high speed the motor is really good. A rather strict short -term suspension transfers information about the road in detail, but, given the sports inclinations of the car, this is very good.
But the steering wheel seems cotton. The hydraulic wrap is very powerful with a weak reactive effect. This does not fit with the sports of Honda. ABS works softly, almost silently.
The driver’s workplace is convenient, it is easy to control the machine. However, you can complain about the front seat. It is convenient only for people of small stature, the rest of the pillow and back are too short, and adjusting the height of the pillow is inconvenient, as it floods it forward, not backward. The rear seat folds entirely and in parts. You can transport the bike without disassembling.
Honda is not the quietest car. The engine is well drowned at low speeds and gives a voice only at medium and high speeds. Up to 3000 rpm, it is almost inaudible, from 3,000 to 5000 it makes a sharp, rather unpleasant noise, but the song of a real racing engine begins behind the tachometer mark. The rumble of tires is normal for machines of this class. In addition, strong vibration is transmitted at idle on the gearbox lever.
The car is extremely economical. According to the estimate data, the fuel consumption in the center of Moscow is less than 8 l/100 km (with constant traffic jams and the air conditioner turned on), and outside the city, even if you do not always adhere to the speeds determined by the traffic rules, no more than 6 l/100 km. The green light on the instrument panel, which is ignited only with smooth pedaling on the 3rd, IV and V transmissions, helps in maintaining the economical traffic mode. Although the instruction for the car allows the use of unhealthy 91st gasoline, at the gas station the hand itself reaches for the hose with the 95th-I just can’t believe that the engine with this level of force can consume low-grade fuel.
Although the car has been driving for six months, no breakdowns or suspicions of problems have happened. Even the light bulbs of the feet-signals are not going to burn out yet. However, both that and the Moscow winter with its salt, dirt and snow will be ahead ...
But if you can be especially picky, then you can find operational shortcomings even in Honda. It is surprising why the rubber aprons are muddy, in colloquials called mudguards, they offer as additional equipment. According to Russian standards, they must be full. But the seller company shoes the car for the season: our sivik was on winter tires. Because of this, I had to change my mind immediately after the purchase - spring came. Branded rubber rugs - without sides and do not exactly correspond to the shape of the floor. Environmentally friendly paint and varnish with which the sivik is painted easily scratch, and the consequences of even neat manual washing are already noticeable on the impeccable coating. The only drawback that relates to ease of use is the design of the anti -loner visor: it is too close to the driver's face. Another thing is more serious: under the floor of the luggage compartment, instead of a full -fledged spare, there is a thin dock. Unfortunately, the normal spare wheel is not included. For traveling around Moscow, Erzatz-Wheel is acceptable, and if you need to go for a hundred or two kilometers?
The catalytic neutralizer also inspires anxiety - in a white -stone gasoline, it is over, and beyond its borders of environmentally friendly machines, large troubles shine. However, our Honda will hardly leave the limits of the Moscow region.
Frisky and economical, spacious and comfortable, environmentally friendly and safe, also working as a Swiss watch, a sivik in an editorial parking looks like a dumb reproach of a domestic automobile industry. Yes, if only to him ...

The masterpiece of modern engine honda is economical to indecent.

For summer tires and aprons on wheels had to be paid additionally.
