This indicator, in fact, is the Geely Emgrand machine, the development of which began in 2006 by the forces of 1,200 specialists of their own Geely Institute. It did not cost, of course, without attracting foreign specialists. And that's why. The fact is that Emgrand is not the name of the next model from the company, which at one time began with the production of refrigerators. Emgrand is a sub-worn like Lexus at Toyota or Infiniti at Nissan. That is, it is actually a premium class. As - in no way, and the bet is very high. So they were hung. All this is understandable. It is not clear one thing: as a car positioned in a premium class, can cost less than a car of the same C-segment? After all, the initial price of Emgrand with a 1.5-liter engine is 399,000 rubles, and in the maximum configuration with a 1.8-liter motor, DVD, leather and other delights of the sweet highway, it costs 485,000 rubles. However, we were lucky: the Chinese have come to something, and climate control took its place instead of air conditioning in the car with a complete set of comfort. And you need to say, with your duties, he copes very well, and it works quite quietly.
In general, if we talk about the noise insulation of the cabin, it is pretty good. Of course, to the level of the European premium class, it is far, but in the cabin comfortable. Do not irritate and vibrationload. Even the Kulis of the lever is still motionless, which, however, is understandable: she has a cable. But this does not interfere with a clear inclusion of gears.

As already mentioned, at our disposal there was a car for 459,000 rubles, and this implies that under the hood he has a 1.8-liter, 126-strong power unit with variable gas distribution phases. The peak of torque 172 nm has 4000 revolutions, but it does not prevent a rather heavy car at all with almost the bottom. Troce on the car is a pleasure. But the speaker, most likely, will disappoint many: in order to fit the arrow to the cherished 100 km / h, Emgrand will need almost 13 seconds.

Not a standard, alas, it is also controlled. First, the steering is completely devoid of feedback due to an excessively zealous amplifier. It seems that the steering wheel seems, and it will ride it for a long time, as on the bearings. When parking, there is no dispute, it is convenient, but in other cases there is a feeling of some kind of suspension. The latter, by the way, is pretty comfortable, but this very comfort leaves with sideways during emergency maneuvering: the car is noticeably cubed. But to the brakes of claims any. Disk in a circle, they are effective and quite informative. In addition, they are equipped with adequate ABS. In general, if we talk about active security systems, then there are not so many of them, but pleased others. Emgrand The first car from China, who received four security stars in independent Euro NCAP tests. This is already talking about many things.

And what in the end? As a result, we can say the following. Emgrand is really a good car, but for now to declare that it is a premium class, still early. He has a chromium just right, but there is little gloss.

Our verdict
Despite the fact that Geely positions its Emgrand as a premium class car, we would not say that it can be attributed to this segment of cars. However, given the dimensions of the car, the equipment, good quality assembly and the price, one can safely assume that it will be popular with our compatriots.
