The basic V70 will cost the buyer more expensive than the Mondeo station wagon in any highest configuration (without additional options). For the D5 version, for example, it is necessary to pay 1.27 million rubles, and optional equipment can raise the price of the car up to 1.6 million. But, firstly, it will be a more powerful station wagon. Secondly, he is very soundly made and clearly marks in the premium class. Perhaps it is imprisoned for a more powerful and resourceful gasoline engine, but even taking into account this nuance, the diesel modification of Mondeo does not want to change to another. The main argument is displayed on the scoreboard the average consumption in the city of this liner does not exceed 11, and on the highway 7.5 liters per hundred. It all depends on what to compare. If we take a business class car with which Mondeo is comparable in terms of dimensions, criticism can be caused by a fat and shapeless dashboard, budget trim for metal (in my opinion, overwhelmed) and saving on electric drives. The passenger seat does not have them, and the driver’s electric drive is primitive and devoid of memory.
But next to any carriage of the comparable cost, the novelty Ford looks advantageous. The leather and alcantara salon looks sports and respectable. The seats, despite the hard pillows, are convenient, they fix the body well and prevent it from sliding. The ergonomics of all controls are verified to get used to it and the search for the desired button-handle does not spend a second. The luggage compartment in the standard design has a decent capacity of 554 liters in a five -seater and 1745 in a double version. The rear sofa, which, incidentally, can be subtit heated, like luxury machines, develops in a ratio of 40:60. But the most successful innovation is a sliding cargo platform. Here you do not need to dive into the womb and get dirty on the bumper to catch some bag from the depths of the trunk, it will roll out to you on a black saucer with an aluminum bell.
V70 with a beige salon looks spacious and friendly. The design of the dashboard is made in the Scandinavian style, it is remembered by a beautiful natural form, and not with cheap decorations. And the branded soaring console, despite the abundance of buttons, pleases the eye, is the most elegant element of the interior. Devices may seem primitive, but their simplicity, openness and unobtrusive gray-green backlight is also part of the style. Not the most successful element of beige doors upholstery. To the touch is very pleasant, but it looks pretentious. Black upholstery, in my opinion, would much better emphasize the complex profile of pens and pockets on the doors. I was not delighted with the steering wheel. Due to the insertion of polished wood, the rim turned out to be chubby. But the inside of the steering wheel is sheathed with delicate skin. There are no more nit -picking. At the wheel of V70 you feel like a white person everything is extremely convenient. It is also a sin to complain to passengers. Cargo functions are thought out to the smallest detail: the sofa is folded in parts in any combination 40:20:40, on the upper perimeter of the trunk there are hooks for screeds, adjustable hooks and additional bulkheads on the floor.
