Ford Focus cannot be called the novelty of our market. But we see two good reasons to tell readers about it again and do it for several numbers.Firstly, already in the fall of this year, at the factory in the Leningrad Region, they promise to collect the first Russian Focus, which means that it makes sense to find out what kind of car will be sold with the mark of Made in Russia and the Ford wool. Secondly, we want to find out how much the model offered to replication at a Russian enterprise corresponds to our mentality, wallet and ideas about a modern car.
Let's start with the mentality - even a car assembled at a Russian enterprise, but with a tablet in a foreign language should differ from a dull domestic auto industry. Focus has all the prerequisites for that: the original design in the style of a new line, the high quality of finishing materials in the cabin pleases not only the eyes - you can hold on to the details, they do not creak and do not rattles on the bumps.
The scatter of prices for this model with a 1.8 engine is quite large - from $ 15.4 thousand for a simple package of up to $ 20 thousand per product of the Ford Focus Ghia branded studio. The autopilot deliberately stopped on a relatively simple model with a minimum of bells and whistles, but with the necessary set of amenities - windows on the front doors, air conditioning. The box is mechanics. Other options will taste the potential owner.
Ford Focus is a typical modern city car not adapted for long and long -distance travels. But the volume of the trunk is impressive - with folded rear seats, it reaches 1205 cubic meters. See my 19 monitor in the box fit me painlessly, and there was still a place for one passenger behind - the back of the seats folds in a ratio of 1: 2.
Small dimensions combined with a frisky engine allow you to easily and aggressively maneuver in the stream. The short first and long accelerated second or more transfers seemed to be specially selected for a torn city ride from a traffic light to a traffic light. It is easy to park in rather narrow cracks on city parking lots - the burdocks of the rear -view mirrors serve as excellent limiters.
Focus has a spacious and convenient salon. In it you do not get tired of traveling all day in the center of the city - where you are more likely to stand than you go, and where a man is a wolf and a goat. Thanks to the hard seat and the rich set of its adjustments, as well as good visibility through the huge windshield. It is quite comfortable to ride Focus in winter. It warms up quickly, and the stove works even too well - already three minutes after turning on the ignition, you can set the fan power control to the number 2. or remove the jacket, although minus 17 outside.
Nevertheless, this car has disadvantages, and we do not have the right to report them.
(-) Focus front-wheel drive is too active. At a sharp start from the place, the front line begins to scour and requires immediate adjustment by the steering wheel. But maybe we ourselves are to blame - we chose too low rubber for such weather.
(-) Focus contours are beautiful. But they can easily play a cruel joke with an forgetful driver - it is worth opening the door in the morning when the car is littered with snow, a small avalanche collapses on the seats. Once I forgot to turn off the janitors in the evening and started a car with a ajar door - the snow charge fell right in the face.
(+/-) At the first acquaintance with Focus in Europe, I was skeptical of the hood castle. Moscow February showed that I am wrong - the larva does not freeze even when the temperature drops from the plus per minus. But when you open the hood into slush to fill the liquid, you get your hands strongly.

The Ford Focus car is provided for a long -term test by the Moscow representative office of Ford Motor Company.
With a sharp turn, the inner rear wheel of the car is shifted inside the turn up and sideways - in the direction opposite to the rotation of the front wheels. The result is the absence of a car. On an uneven road, when the rear suspension plays, there is a constant movement of the wheels up and down and back and forth. The result is a exchange rate. One careless, sharp movement of the steering wheel - the car brings.
So, or something like this, the classic rear H-shaped suspension interacts with the car body. A slightly different, L-shaped scheme was applied to Ford Focus. On the X -ray -cycle, a side lever with a compensation sleeve is clearly visible. Because of this, the suspension has become a little tougher. But the lever compensates for the vertical load, and at the time of compression of the spring, the entire hub is shifted in the same direction as the drive wheels. This is how the effect of steering arises.
Thanks to this lever, when hitting small obstacles, the wheels are shifted back and at the same time upward, compensating for active tremors on the body.
