Only professionals drew attention to some nuances in the previous article. The fact is that in the section our costs mentioned the costs of gasoline AI-95. And all Focus cars supplied to the Russian market are adapting to the cheaper and affordable AI-92. This is achieved by a simple reconfiguration of an electronic unit that controls the fuel injection. I used different varieties of gasoline consciously - I wanted to see how much Focus is sensitive to our fuel. Moreover, the last portion of the 92nd was rolled out almost to a dry tank-the remaining kilometer before refueling had to drive on severe nerves: enough-not enough. At the same time, I was convinced that on a burning light bulb you can safely drive another 30 kilometers.
So, gasoline. It was not possible to feel the difference in accelerated dynamics. The Focus accelerates equally evenly on a good combustible palace, and on a dubious fuel of an ultramarine color, filled with a forgotten refueling, located on the former MTS 100 km from the capital. But! You can consider this a glitch, because on the 95th Focus gasoline it is frankly better in the morning. Especially if the temperature outside the window dropped below -10.
Special thanks to the engineers - for the suspension adapted to our roads and an enlarged clearance. Last week, I had to make an unplanned voyage to my native country village - I received a signal that there were uninvited guests in the house. The last 500 meters Focus passed along a rather deep rut, rolled with a more serious technique of winter recreation enthusiasts in nature. Honestly, at some point I was overwhelmed by doubts whether to drop the car in the country until spring, that is, when the snow melts. But no, Focus not only overcame the broken track, but also famously turned on a deep snow virgin land. I even forgave the excessive noise of the studded rubber gislaved Nord Frost II.
I often have to use the trunk. Much more often than calling on the sink. At this time of the year, the fifth door is constantly covered with a layer of dirt, and it is quite difficult to open it so as not to get dirty. If you do not use the trunk control button, then you have to use the ignition key instead of the handle to open the rear door. So far, everything turns out, but the key is quite flimsy, and now there is a question whether it will withstand such active operation.
 
The more often I use Focus to travel around the city, the more I forgive this machine with minor flaws - and who does not have them? But he has virtues, very pleasant to me. Here is the clutch: it works without the slightest effort, and just as I love - not at the very polish, but not from the lightest touch like the blow of the breeze. The gas pedal is quite long, and under the foot there is a rather decent stroke supply, even when accelerating in the fifth gear. And switching the programs is generally a pleasure: the handle move is quite large, but very accurate. I never had to make a mistake, sticking the fifth instead of the third or the fourth instead of the second.
 
(+) Fuel consumption according to approximate estimates amounted to 11 liters per 100 km. This practically corresponds to the declared manufacturer - 10.3 liters. This is on AI-92 gasoline. The whole next month we will go again on the 95th.
(-) The tachometer on Focus is digitized to 7 thousand revolutions. And the entire scale is painted in the same color. Interestingly, the limit of critical turns lies behind the cut of the scale? By hearing, he occurs in reduced gears in the region of 6 thousand.
(-) On cups of shock absorbers, I found technological holes located between the wing and the fastening of shock absorbers, small, about 5 mm in diameter. Everything would be fine, but a solid plaque formed around them with a vile salt, which was generously watered by our streets in early March. It looks quite menacing, and the car had to be urgently taken to the sink. I do not want to experiment with how all this chemistry will respond to a metal cut inside the hole.
