Exactly a month ago (see No. 6, 2002) you have already met the duelist Fiat Stilo, but this time we will talk about the car not with three, but with a five-door body.

The five -door Fiat Stilo differs from the three -door not only the number of doors. Before us is a completely different machine that deserves a separate conversation.

Relatives have different roof line, rear lights and doors. The front ends are similar, but with a detailed examination it turns out that only the hood for modifications is the same. All the rest of the bumpers, headlights and front wings are unpertured. And if the difference in the bumers is clearly enough, then it is not so simple to find it in the shape of a wing and headlights. To do this, you need to put cars nearby, and then it will be found that the stiffness of the stiffness on the wing of the three -door ends not at all where the five -door and the headlights have a different structure of the reflector. In the future, when ordering spare parts, confusion may occur.

As expected, in connection with the changes in the exterior, the interior has changed. But not all. Torpedo in the Stilo 5-Door is the same, but the refrigerator above the glove box due to the installation of the CD player with a chainer for six discs has become less: now it can contain only one jar of 0.33 liters, and not three liter, as before, as before . However, Chainer, like the subwoofer, as well as leather steering wheels and expansion curtains on the car, may not be, because all this is from the category of options. These include parking sensors, alarm, rain and light sensors. The five -door has volumetric sensors that can be turned off. Everything else is included in the basic configuration, as rich as in the three -door version.

The front seats lost the folding mechanism, but they have the same adjustment, and landing is still not very convenient, especially in the driver's place. The Italians decided that it was enough that the Sidushka itself rises and drops, while the back with a lumbar roller remains motionless. Meanwhile, from here a little discomfort. However, even at the lowest point, the driver at the five -door sits much higher than in the three -door, and this does not mean that there is now less space above the head: in the height of Stilo, he added 5 cm, which ensures more convenient access to the salon.

The seats of the second row are separate, which is already not bad, have adjustments on the corner of the back of the back and moving the seat in the longitudinal direction. Agree, such a set is more associated with cars of a representative class than with a small -sized family machine.

Seats adjustments can be reduced or increased (430 l) of the trunk, which is also good for a car of this class. There are many kinds of drawers in the cabin. There was a place and table. Removing from the back of the front right seat, it withstands a load of 3 kg, is equipped with a cup holder and beams. If you fold the back of the front seat, the driver’s back of the same table is off. It is very convenient, especially when you are alone in the car.

Last time, the STILO suspension seemed very tough for us. The five-door option, as we hoped, became softer, but almost every hole is still felt. The low-profile 16-inch tires are also alarmed. In general, quickly traveling on Stilo around the city with broken roads and tram tracks is prohibited.

But on the highway you will appreciate the charm of such pendants and tires. On a good road, the car serves as a model of obedience and controllability. However, the three -door option also behaved.

There is no particular difference in dynamics either, in both cases 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds. What, in fact, is surprised: the engines for cars are the same, and the difference in weight is insignificant.

The five -door Fiat Stilo is about three -door by about twelve percent. Not so little, given that the three -door costs $ 16,300. However, having paid another two thousand, you will receive a much more practical and functional car.
