Several years of the work of the best specialists, the creation of a completely new platform, a complete revision of production, and all this with one purpose: having returned to the middle class, to make it the leader of Fiat Stilo.
 
In 1998, the Fiat concern started one of its most ambitious projects: creating a car that is ahead of others for a whole generation. Everything should have become fundamentally new, from appearance to filling. The main task was to satisfy the requests of a wide range of customers - both lovers of three -door sports cars and adherents of solid, spacious five -door hatchbacks. As a result, two different cars were born, and today we are talking about three -door.
 
I would not want to punish, but Stilo's appearance is really stylish. You will not confuse it with another model, and neither in front, nor from the side, nor behind. The headlights, the hood and the bumper are original and insanely beautiful. Good profile. However, the most interesting part is most interesting: there was no need to see such a complex and unusual configuration of lanterns.
 
In the cabin, everything is also very true - stylish. However, what is surprised, since the car has such a name, its appearance and content should be appropriate. Nevertheless, the driver’s landing, let's say, was not particularly impressed with us - with such an abundance of adjustments, it could have been more complicated here.
 
While the pilot adapted to the governing organs and drove the steering column under himself, the navigator began to clap the covers of the mess, studying their inner world. The refrigerator was especially interested in the researcher: located on top of the regular glove box, he did not give out his presence in anything, skillfully disguised as part of the torpedo. The capacity of the refrigerator is quite decent - three liter bottles. By the way, it serves as a conventional glove compartment if you block the access of cold air.
 
Thanks to a separate climate installation, the rear passengers can also bask in both warm and cool air jets. For two, there are many places on the second row. It will even be possible to slightly stretch your legs, however, only if the driver and the front passenger have an increase of no higher than the average. If above, the volitional landing does not work, but even with the front seats completely shifted back, the life space on the gallery remains acceptable.
 
Despite his pronounced sporty character, Stilo remains a hatchback - a car for everything or almost all occasions, which means that he must have a roomy trunk. Of course, 305 liters are not God the news, but for the transportation of everyday belongings, it is suitable. The rear seats can be folded both in whole and in a ratio of 2/3, and then even a bicycle (diagonally) will fit into the salon. In general, under a particular case, Stilo adapts well.
 
If mechanical settings are not so interesting, then the electronic system of fitting the car for the needs of the owner (in the standard) is really impressive. Using this system - My Car - you can program the opening and closing of each door, as well as their automatic circuit when reaching a machine of 20 km/h. You can set a maximum speed limit, connect a route computer, etc.
 
And this is not the only electronic little thing that deserves attention. Stilo is equipped with a system to take me home. Of course, the car will not take you under the handle and will not deliver you to the apartment itself, but for some time it will highlight the road in the dark. You do not need to return to the street if you forgot to turn off the radio. In the absence of listeners and taken out of the ignition lock, the equipment will turn off after 20 minutes of operation on an empty hall.
 
In the morning you can again meet your car in the morning, one of the most advanced doors to lock and lock systems will take care of. Even if the cracker applies rough physical strength, nothing will come of it: when you repeatedly press the key on the ignition key, all mechanical joints of the door cease to act, and it cannot be opened even from the inside. If, for example, the hijacker penetrates the salon through the window, he will not be able to start the engine, since no one can copy the secret code available in the vehicle vein (even at the service station and at the manufacturer), since the code does not in any component of the car Lights up.
 
STILO is the only one in its segment is equipped with six airbags, of which two front ones work according to the Multistage system, that is, they themselves determine when to open and how much - taking into account the impact strength, driver’s weight and passenger separately. The car is well equipped with active security means. In particular, traction controls, ABS, anti -blocking wheels during braking by the engine are installed on it, the brake pedal is squeezed.
 
The steering mechanism is already equipped with an electric power at the factory. That's just why he has two operating modes - a city/track, we did not understand. Yes, in the city mode, the steering wheel is light, like a fluff, which is especially happy when parking. It is worth increasing the speed, the steering wheel begins to pour in weight, and this is also correct. And upon reaching 70 km/h, the amplifier automatically goes into the route mode. We traveled to both and did not notice much difference, except that in the second feedback is a little better.
 
In a 5 -speed mechanical gearbox, the fifth sometimes turned on reluctantly - a very short course of the cululis. He stuck - did not stuck, you understand only after you release the clutch. Nevertheless, we liked the work of the KP. In the city, in principle, you can drive the first - the car calmly scatters up to 70 km/h. You can reach the second to 110. And on the fourth, most likely, to the maximum 183.
 
However, we did not accelerate to red. Firstly, they regretted the car, and secondly-their eardrums: at revolutions over 4000 motor is voting. It constantly seems that he is at the limit of his 103 hp. However, if you ride calmly, without trying to dial 100 km/h in those 10 seconds that mean at the TTX, you can hear, say, birds of birds. By the way, Stilo will not object to run along the forest tracks, however, they should be very even. His suspension is sports, and even on good asphalt, joints and potholes are felt. (Perhaps a five -door modification is not so susceptible to our roughnesses.)
 
In general, the car turned out to be interesting, and most importantly, competitive. Stilo threw the glove to the rivals, and which of them will raise it is still unknown. In the meantime, this fiat has no equal in terms of price and innovative offers. Two years of the factory guarantee without limitation of mileage are also mean.
