Daewoo leads among foreign cars in Russia. But bestsellers need rejuvenation. The first Daewoo Nexia DOHC appeared in Moscow.
In Uzbekistan, Daewoo Nexia has been produced for six years, and during this time it has not undergone significant changes. Of course, against the background of almost the quarter-time career of AvtoVAZ veterans, this is not a period, but the modernization of Nexia has been spoken for a long time. And please - in December, the production of Nexia Minor began. But on the Russian market from the musical designation of the new version, they refused for obvious reasons. So in the price list of Russian dealers this car is simply called Nexia DOHC, which indicates the main change in the design: the appearance of a new engine. It differs not only by the presence of two cam shafts in the block head in accordance with the abbreviation. The gas distribution mechanism, finally, 16 valves, and not eight. This ensures the improvement of the engine parameters - the power rose by 10 hp, the moment increased by 0.4 kgf.
   
New king buttons. Novelty emphasize and some changes in appearance. And the most useful in the point of view of the appearance of the appearance should be considered painted bumpers and new wheels with tires of 185/60 R14. Thirteenhathuminians always seemed small for the machine with a length of almost four and a half meters. The current preserved almost the same outer diameter, but due to larger disks look more advantageous. Yes, and the characteristics of low-profile rubber should better satisfy the needs of the driver more dynamic car.
   
From the point of view of reducing the cost of operation bumpers in body color, of course, not the most practical solution: one awkward movement in traffic and the pristine purity is lost. However, if the desire to save is completely overwhelming, it is easier to ride on the scooter.
The fact that the new modification is also will also be allowed to forget the moldings and chrome lining of the radiator with the Daewoo brand emblem. Behind the most notable innovation was a plastic pad on the lid of the trunk. It would be nice to add it at least some handle - when opened, the cover is quite high raises the spring, but it falls out, pressing the edge to the edge, for which it is not so easy to grasp. Or pull for the inner elements of the lid, which is also pleasure doubtful.
Rear lights have changed: the diffusers are now more transparent, which in combination with the mirror surfaces of reflectors creates a fashionable crystal effect.

And how I would like to see - and not only see - really new seat! For example, with more pronounced side support and adjustment of the lumbar support. The absence of adjustment in height could well compensate for the adjustment of the steering wheel along the angle of inclination, but it is also not. While the lower edge of the rim interferes when landing, not even a long-legged driver. For the sake of justice, we note that on the convenience of management it affects little.
And still does not fold the back seat - that for the family car seems very strange. Of course, the record volume of the trunk of about 500 liters reduces the need for this folding. However, here Renault also first considered it excess, and now there is already a fold back on the Symbol.
But if Nexia becomes a single room one for someone, it will be able to please your owner with various pleasant trifles. For example, an automatic antenna that is extended when the magnetic is turned on (although, according to the reviews of some owners, the usual service life of such a device in our conditions is a year and a half), or the remote opening of the trunk and the fuel tank of the gas tank. The last chip, as it turned out, is very vulnerable to our frosts, so I had to take advantage of a special burden in the trunk. And I first decided that this is a handle to unlock the trunk from the inside - from recently the time such devices have become a mandatory element in American sedans.
Waking beauty. The first impressions of the new motor turned out to be a bit lubricated due to the fact that regular all-season tires are not combined too well with the February Moscow roads: more precisely with ice, a slightly patient snowball. It is clear that such conditions are hardly the worst of possible. In addition, it is unlikely to expect a lot from all-season - as any compromise solution, it is worse than specialized rubber. Nevertheless, the first thing we wanted to do after buying this car is to buy normal tires. We did not have such an opportunity, so I had to put up with periodic bounce in touching from the place and actually behave extremely carefully, as it was ready to break into a skid on such a road Nexia was ready at any time. True, it is caught enough easy.
But on dry areas it was possible to really rejoice in a rather live reaction of the engine and the machine on the accelerator pedal. But this concerns predominantly average frequency ranges. To unscrew the motor until it stops, it is necessary to put it very much to the pedal. Nevertheless, the new engine provides more than satisfactory for an inexpensive foreign car dynamic characteristics. According to official data, the maximum speed is adjusted to 185 km / h, and the overclocking time has decreased from 12.5 to 11 seconds.
The most significant disadvantage of the power unit is noise. If you are not a fan of a sports pee from under the hood, you will have to choose between speed and audio accessory. Although the question is, with what to compare: if you have ever ride in six at speeds above 100 km / h, the noise level in Nexia will seem very low.
The car slows down well, but despite the big move the brake pedal to dose the effort is not so easy. The steering can serve as an unpleasant illustration of one of the main disadvantages of the rush mechanism. As you know, it is characterized by too good feedback - all blows and vibrations from the irregularities of the road are transmitted to the steering wheel. For a long time we have not had to meet such an explicit and unpleasant reminder of this feature!
Skupoy Burger. Naturally, the mentioned disadvantages are directly related to the cost of the car - these problems will not be on foreign cars that cost at least 20 percent more. And on domestic models, which will be much cheaper, there will be no air conditioner, no steering booster. So it remains only to choose. Despite the rather narrow range of modifications (one body, two engines of the same volume), the price spectrum is quite extensive - the most simple will cost $ 7,300, and the most impaired - at $ 9800.
With the new engine, the machine is offered only in a fairly expensive set of GLE, which includes a central lock, four electrical windows, power steering and fog lights. The new engine, enlarged wheels and the upgraded appearance will cost about five to six hundred dollars - this is the difference between Nexia Gle with old and new engines. The list of options is not too extensive: alloy wheels ($ 250) and air conditioning ($ 600). Moreover, for simply Nexia, custom discs are not provided at all, only 13-inch stamped.
A narrow and choice of colors: if eight options are provided for the eight-glipal version, then for the new one - only four.
