So, once it was Opel Cadet - there are many direct analogues of Nexia on Russian roads. Outwardly, she makes a very pleasant impression. Soft and calm lines do not burn the blood with excessive aggressiveness, suggesting the use of a car in everyday, albeit vain, but normal life. And to satisfy the ambitions of the athlete-Duelant of the width of the wheels and the diameter of the exhaust pipe will be small. Nevertheless, for 16 thousand dollars you will not feel like a grandfather Schukar, who bought a horse from a gypsy.
Let's get closer and look at the car more attentively.
Body. That which is imperceptible at first glance at a few steps will manifest itself close. We are already accustomed to the fact that all foreign cars differ from our thorough fitting body parts - an indicator of a high level of technology. In Nexia, it is not entirely true: the gap around the perimeter of the doors is uneven, the difference of 3-4 mm (!) Is noticeable by eye. Yes, and the left back door below. The lines of the hood and trunk lids do not coincide with the adjacent surfaces of the wings, headlights and rear lights. All the same three or four millimeters. The gas tank neck hatches and drowned. Of course, you can put the washers cut out of a canning can under the loops, but this is not a matter.
Is it really that the older sister has the same defect from Korea? We ran to the neighboring lane, where we had long noticed the Far Eastern analogue. Lucky, the car is in place. We looked closely and amazed - on the Korean product everything is as it should - with an accuracy of a millimeter.
Under the impressive hood of our Nexia, nothing unusual - the power unit is combined from the in -line four (with a volume of 1,500 cm3, with a capacity of 75 hp) with a five -speed gearbox, is located across Samara. Only the points of fastening of the unit in other places are in a plane passing near the axis of the crankshaft and the pennies of the drive wheels. This scheme allows you to minimize vibrations transferred to the body. So it turned out: neither at idle or during acceleration the engine did not fought in convulsions, as it happens in Samara or Lada. I liked that the oil filter, fuel ramp with nozzles, the generator is quite available for maintenance and repair - in our conditions it is important.
It is good that the tips of the steering rods are connected to the rotary levers of telescopic racks at the top, as on eight-and-girlfriends. Unfortunately, in most front -wheel drive foreign cars, traction pass from below, under the body, that is, close to the road. An unnoticed stone, a metal rod sticking out of the road slab (this is not uncommon), they will easily tear out the tip of the thrust (or they will break the crankcase of the steering - after all, it is also below) and ensure the independence of the front wheels from the steering wheel.
Through the holes for rods in the mudguards, water and dirt are flooded with the front wheels - this is a lack of upper rods. If the windows do not cover with anything, under the hood it will soon be possible to plant potatoes. At the Nexia, they tried to solve this problem and fixed the rubber split reflector, but its petals are only decoration, and not an obstacle to dirt. We were convinced of this, grabbing a dozen kilometers along the lane. Note that at Moskvich-2141 the solution was found more radical, although many years after the start of release.
When they closed the hood, one of us, involuntarily looking at the hole for the safety hook on the front panel of the body, saw ... asphalt! We looked from below and were upset - between the bumper and the radiator you can put your hand and get the lock. Just a find for a car thief! We'll have to put a hidden lock lock that many companies selling alarms are currently offering.
After such a trick, the car’s inspection was carried out with addiction. The gas tank is placed under the bottom in the area of \u200b\u200bthe rear seat. The place in case of the accident is safe - inside the base. But, in our opinion, the gap between the body and the tank is not sufficiently protected from dirt. It is not easy to remove it from there. Salt mesyvo quickly corrodes the metal metal. Therefore, we decided to patch up the gap with foam rubber, saturated with Movil.
Not in the best place the fuel level sensor is placed - the cover with contacts in the end at the very bottom. This means that this node is available to salt mud - as a result, the contacts will fall off after the second winter, if they do not previously tear the bush on the forest road, since the bunch of wires is not fixed. To prevent this from happening, they scored the contacts with a lithol, and the wires hid at the top.
But not everything is so unreliable below. For example, the design of the rear suspension is very attractive. It is semi-dependent, similar to the eight, but with a highlight: inside the P-shaped beam connecting the longitudinal levers, the torsion of the reptile stability stabilizer is located, as in Moskvich-2141. Together with the front, they significantly reduce the rolls of the car in corners. Therefore, the car is great on the road and clearly reacts to the turn of the steering wheel in any turn. The rear springs, with a variable pitch and diameter of the hung, provide a progressive characteristic of the rigidity of the suspension. In other words, an empty car will not shake, and a loaded car - punch the suspension until it stops. The rear shock absorbers are fixed at the points of maximum movement of levers, which means that they extinguish the smallest fluctuations in the car. We checked this property on the paving stones, crossings of tram tracks - everything is true.
The parking brake drive was disappointed. In areas near the brake drums, the cables come out of the shells and remain unprotected. In this place, they can neiste, and moving, they will bring corrosion products along with dirt into the cable shirts until they jam. Return springs are weak (as we convinced, having removed the drum), which is why brakes, increased wear of linings and drums, and gasoline overrun.
And another spoon of tar. Towing loops, especially the rear, are located deep under the bumpers. It so happened that on a fragmented primer, the car brought the car and the rear wheels drowned a little. It was not possible to pull the car forward. To get to the loop and fasten the cable, I had to put the sleeve to the shoulder and fumble to the touch in liquid mud under the machine. The tractor came up with the following ZIL-130. Fixing the end of the cable on the regular hook of the truck, they noticed that, pulling over, he would certainly turn out the plastic bumper (!). We dive under the zil and bandage the cable lower, beyond the beam of the front axle. So, with the greatest caution, we managed to get out without losses, not counting the slapped clothes. Conclusion: Nexia with long overhangs and small, not in growth with 13-inch wheels is helpless on bad roads.
We will examine the salon. Here we have not yet found serious miscalculations. The GLE equipment in the Uzbek version provides for the power steering, air conditioning, electric windows, hours, stereomagnetol. All this, together, raised the cost of Nexia-gle to almost 16 thousand dollars, while in the simplest configuration it is only 12 thousand.
The highest of us (height of 186 cm) was quite convenient both from behind and front. Moreover, for the driver there is a reserve - in length, and passengers in the back seat and height - the head does not rest against the ceiling, as in Samara. Nevertheless, the extra 100 mm in length and width would not hurt. But we will not pick up.
The gas pedal is somewhat drowned with respect to the brake - such a step slows the transfer of the leg in case of emergency braking. The working brake, thanks to the hydrovacuum amplifier, is pleasantly soft, and the slowdown is dosed, rather, not by effort, but by the position of the leg. Nevertheless, the brakes are spacing, and you quickly get used to the softness of the pedals.
The wiper control lever is located under the wheel very close, only 40 mm. It is worth a little weaken the fingers, and they will certainly hurt the lever. The wipers themselves work in three modes, have a wide range of smooth regulation of the pause and cover almost all the glass. The washer serves four powerful jets, as if from a brandpoite - one wave of brushes after a shower and the glass is perfectly clean. But the headlights have to be wiped manually - absurdity against the background of the rest of the service. Electric windows are controlled by both the passengers themselves and the driver (all four), but in our Nexia, the windows of the right side to his teams do not react. Unsuccessfully laid wires closed - two switches failed in the very first days.
There are claims to the location of the fuse block. It is necessary to replace the burned out from the yard, dropping to his knees at the open driver's door. And this happens, as usual, at the most inopportune moment - a rainy night and you have to change it in a puddle or dirt.
On the dashboard, like many foreign cars, there is no indicator of oil pressure, ammeter or voltmeter. Perhaps, with the proper level of service, they are not needed, but not in Russia. If with the absence of the latter you can put up, content with a light bulb with a symbol of the battery, who is glowing in case of malfunction, then the first would be useful to many. Comparing the pressure of the oil in a cold and warm engine, tracking changes in the indicators during operation and after changing the oil, you can get a clear idea of \u200b\u200bthe engine condition, quality and viscosity of flooded oil, the operation of the filter is a simple science. You never know what the master at the maintenance station will say - he himself and the manometer of faith.
The steering with a hydraulic wrap is very light, but the feeling of the road is still preserved. This will be especially appreciated by women. Parking with a blind trunk (its edges are almost not visible even to a high driver) also requires a skill. At first, you have to get out of the car to control distances, if you maneuver in very constrained conditions, although you get used to the dimensions quickly.
And the last, outlandish thing - air conditioning. In June, the heat occurred in Moscow, 30C in the shade, but to maintain coolness in the cabin of its power was enough with excess - it was not long to freeze. That's just the price ... ($ 1,500).
In conclusion, we note: despite the marks of the notes, Dau Nexia may well get a residence permit and become a competitor to expensive domestic cars, for example, a dozen. In the VAZ copy, we believe that with the same study, more defects will be revealed. However, let's see - after all, there is only three thousand kilometers on the speedometer of Nexia.

The rear suspension spring with a variable step and diameter has a progressive characteristic; The shock absorber is fixed in the most successful places - the largest suspension stroke.

An unprotected handbrake cable will probably be jammed soon - it is all in the mud.

There are no complaints about the cabin yet - everything is at hand and quite convenient.

It will not be difficult to service and repair the engine and its systems under the hood - all parts are available. The designers thoroughly worked on the layout.

The towing loop is welded far - he pulled more hard by the cable and broke the bumper.

Stabilizer's bushings are simple, and this is not bad. Wanted can be replaced with rings chopped from an ordinary hose.
