In other words, the repair of Nexia, associated with factory defects or age -related malfunctions, was a rare and, in general, unreleal business.
Four years of service (and according to the passport - all five!) - the deadline, after which the zealous owner thinks about changing the car. Once in this role, I would first ask the question: what does the car look like, would it be a shame to show the buyer? Well, except for small scars - annoying traces of inaccurate maneuvering - there is nothing to be ashamed: washed and polished, the body shines and ... easily misleads about the age of those who evaluate it by VAZ standards. The paint was intact everywhere, including thresholds, and countless small scratches left by the sink are unable to extinguish the young brilliance of enamel. But the weak place was still found: the paint swelled in the lower corners of the front door frames. Already wrote about how quickly (in one winter) brushes were stripped, and soon - and leashes. Someone may paint the leash, and someone will replace it with a new one, taking care of the commodity form-the waste is small.
The central locking was then not included in the body of the body, and along with the installation of alarm (Italian GT), servo drives were installed in the front doors for locking from the key fob - conveniently. However, if it was raining or snowing at night, and by the morning it was coldly cold, the moisture that fell into the locks froze - it was not always possible to open the door. Contacting measures (purging and lubrication of locks after washing) helped only in more or less stable weather. In the end, the right door completely refused to be blocked; There were a simple repair in the technical center of ZR. Apparently, on the advice of a colleague who traveled in Samara, it is worth preventing and lubricating the locks on the eve of winter, removing the upholstery of the doors. (By the way, plastic pistons of its fasteners for a long time retain elasticity and are still suitable for reuse.) Except for problems with blocking (more precisely, unlocking), the locks themselves work perfectly and never demanded adjustment. True, one door closes nevertheless nematrically - but the lock has nothing to do with it, but the defect is peculiarly manifested: after a long blizzard on the edge of the rear seat lies ... a strip of snow. He was blowing into the gap between the frame and the opening. The frame clearly required fit, but either the operation was not provided, or it was neglected.
In the little-Malian, a modern car (and this is exactly about this) hardly needs praise like plastic parts, do not creak, in the cabin quietly, the panel has no cracks and did not cheat. But in order not to be silent, I note a successful (dusty) shade of gray plastic panel and the excellent condition of the seats after the first three years. We decided to preserve them, putting on the covers.
I’m afraid that the discussions of such insignificant trifles are patience of real men, whose motto is: the main thing is that she would go!. With this, I assure you, everything is in order. The engine did not know and did not require other works, except for the regulatory (replacing oil, filters, candles, flushing nozzles). It happens, after starting troit; Sometimes idle, but all this is more likely a reaction to the weather than a consequence of age or gloomy.
Over time, the motor began to sweat oil along the connector of the camshaft cover. I wonder if the replacement of the gasket will help? (Since the gaps in the mechanism are not adjusted, there was simply no reason to remove the lid.)
The only, but still annoying defect in the transmission - on the conscience of the adjacent Uzdaoavto: the clutch bearing unmasis during assembly of the squeezing bearing lived less than 40 thousand km.
In the suspensions, the rear springs had to be replaced by 30 thousand: their breakdown is a defect, apparently, a common, including a larger Daewoo Espero model. Sin - once brought half a dozen bags with a dry stucco mixture (although it is not laundering - along even streets!). But we recall what and how much we did not load in our native Lada - it happened, the beams were bent, and at least something! Nevertheless, keep in mind: the trunk for the half -Kuba is not at all the same as for half a ton - stuffing it, know the measure.
The remaining details in pendants and steering (speech, primarily about hinges) - relatives; Again, according to high standards, this is rather a norm than achievement.
As for the brakes, then here the volume of regulatory work (two -time replacement of the front pads, fluid replacement) exceeded not much. When the work of the left front brake was disturbed due to corrosion of the guide fingers of the caliper, I had to change my fingers. This work was done at the hundred, and the rotten roses of the parking brakes were replaced by their own, in Tushino. Defects are quite typical - after about 40 thousand km, they appeared on two more Nems belonging to colleagues. Returning to the blocks: with both replacements, they had a decent supply of walking.
The native set of all -season tires of Kumho (175/70R13) was changed rather by age: the remaining tread height still allowed to count on ten miles. But they are not looking for good from good - all the more so since the tires served faithfully without a single puncture. By the summer of 2000, they bought Bridgeto-B70 tires, and by winter-the studded kumho-kw11), both-the standard dimension 175/70R13. Winter turned out to be snowy, they did not have time to clear the roads and courtyards - for the first time in many years in Shipovki I felt that it would be shod in the weather. (This is, by the way - winter is just around the corner again ...)
The regular wheels (more precisely, their rim) successfully opposed the pits and potholes, as well as corrosion. The skeptics will grin: they say that they know about the pits in Moscow! They know something, believe me: the colleague mentioned above once flew both in the direct and figurative sense - to replace the hub bearing ...
Reliability experts, analyzing the car defects, award one of the first places to electrical equipment. Fortunately, my experience is unlikely to confirm a typical assessment. The replacements demanded two N4 head lamps: they served more than 50 thousand km, and I turned on the near light in the rain and in the snow in a word, not only in the dark. After two winters, a signal hanging from below under the bumper; It would be a place to find a place and a dish ... They also changed the fuel level sensor and a couple of light bulbs - in the rear lamp and lighting of the devices.
The standard electrician is closely related to additional equipment - I will touch it. The most unpleasant thing is the failure of the air conditioner. At the end of the third year, its fan ended (the electric motor burned out). And soon it turned out that the new fan was wasted. The system’s performance was restored by replenishing the refrigerant. Morality? The fan hanging below the bumper is available to moisture, dirt, which means that it is vulnerable to corrosion, especially when it does not work for a long time. And your first, after long cold weather, an attempt to refresh yourself can become the latter for him. There is a way out - to prevent the condo in winter with the stove. By the way, draining wet air, it will at the same time help to clean the foggy glass.
In general, the air conditioning for Nexia (I think, not only on it), in exchange for the comfort provided, requires, let’s say, an indifferent attitude. Evidence of this is his failure on all three (!) Cars mentioned here. And for the magazine, this is a completely ripened topic - we will prepare a separate material.
The DEU radio was included in the machine, as well as the automatic antenna with an electric drive. Alas, after the first season of a rather intensive work, the cassette was a sound, and the telescopic antenna wrapped a couple of links with each other over time. And do not blame that the owner rarely lubricated her: for me, much better, for example, an antenna in glass.
So, for 60 thousand Nexia did not bring serious grief, and no more than one day was required to eliminate malfunctions. Anyone who more carefully cares for the car or always puts it in the garage at night, perhaps save himself from some seasonal troubles. But these sins (no matter, cars or its owners) until they overshadowed the reputation of Nexia as a practical everyday car.
The costs given in the table include both regulatory replacements in the course of three (after 30, 40 and 50 thousand km), and spare parts to eliminate the breakdowns that were discussed. Prices of parts are is protected: over the years of operation, they have changed and continue to change, often towards a decrease. By the way, the norm has significantly fell: at a proprietary service station it will cost about 300 rubles. Another important circumstance is an increase in the warranty period and mileage to 2-3 years and 60 thousand km. This is especially beneficial for those who operate the machine intensively.
