Continuing the development of the budget program X90, Renault brings the new hatchback Sandero to the market, in the development of which was invested 65 million in Argentina and Brazil, sales of the new model began in January 2008. In June, Sandero under the brand name Dacia came out to the European market. But in Russia, Renault Sandero will most likely appear only in a year when the production of the updated Logan will begin at the autoframos factory. Sandero and Logan, though not twins, but still brothers: more than 70% of the details of two cars are identical. They built on a single platform B0 and will be collected on the same production line of autoframos. Moreover, the distribution of model loading depending on the market claims can vary between Logan and Sandero in any range: 100% -0% / 0% -100%. But it will be only next summer. In the meantime, we decided to get acquainted with the European NEW Dacia Sandero, which came down from the Romanian plant in Pitesti.
What to say, the famous autocutter Patrick Lecanan worked well in his Barcelona design studio! Pleasant roundness of shapes and slightly softened incisses of the headlights are as beneficially distinguished by Sandero from the chopped Logan, as rounded shapes formed the girl distinguish it from the youthful hull teenage girl. Circular inserts over protective inserts on body sides are added by Sandero individuality, and more aggressive forms of the bumper and the radiator grille are designed to emphasize the swiftness and assertiveness of the model. Those who and this will seem not enough can order a car in SUV kit: side moldings, modified bumpers and lattices of fog headlamps will give a car even more aggressive appearance.
The interior as a whole is set aside in the spirit of Logan, but at the same time it is distinguished by a number of pleasant improvements. It is especially pleased with a new well-readable dashboard with a white substrate on cars with a 1.6-liter motor and normal holistic front door knobs that have replaced with Logan bias. Although on the rear doors of the handle in the style of Logan still remained, like many other elements of the economy-class car. So, the power steering, the height adjustment systems and the tilt of the steering column, power windows and electrically regulators mirrors are available only in top-end sets or as an option.
Suspension, though he got Sandero to the inheritance from the older brother, according to the first impressions it seems somewhat softer than that of Logan. But in the Russian version, the differences are likely to be leveled. The steering wheel is easier than on Logan, but empty, although, given the class of the car, quite within the permissible delta. In general, Sandero is controlled very worthily, except when the center shifts severity forward when the only passenger is accommodated next to the driver in fast rearrangement sometimes excessive rear axis demolition is manifested. But what frankly disappointed, so this is a gearbox. The flow of the lever is so great that it simply does not want to switch to even programs: you have to constantly turn your hand back. But with Sandero, such focuses do not pass: the first transmission is so short, that switching immediately to the third almost unreal. But the racing short first transmission slightly improves the accelerated dynamics of the car with the scratched EURO standard with the engine.
In part, thanks to this, Sandero with a 1.6-liter engine capacity of 87 hp It accelerates to hundreds for 11.5 s, and with a 75-strong engine 1.4 for 13 s. Structurally both Logan engines are very good: reliable and economical consumption in a mixed cycle per 100 km of 7.2 and 7.0 liters of fuel, respectively. But there is still not enough power and moments. On the roads of Croatia, it is felt as anywhere: without having a power supply, it is not too pleasant to overtake on mountain serpentines, and sometimes it's just dangerous. It remains to make a discount on the fact that Sandero is still a purely urban car. At the same time, although, by virtue of its design features of Sandero and herself to a calm urban ride, he focused on a younger audience than Logan.
We are probably the cost of Russian Sandero no earlier than 2009. However, some forecasts can still be done. In Romania, for example, Sandero is about 8% more expensive than the Logan sedan: 6900 against 6400. Based on what you can hope that in Russia the base value of SanderO 1.6 will not exceed 370,000 rubles.

Simultaneously with the launch in the production of Renault Sandero in the summer of 2009, an assembly of an updated Renault Logan will begin at the factory. After restyling, Logan will become 40 mm longer, and visually noticeably rarely. The salon is almost indistinguishable from the interior of Sandero: the same new dashboard in two design options, the updated center console and the full-fledged handles of the front doors. The exterior also underwent some changes designed to improve the appearance of the Frenchman. The rear bumper has become more embossed and harmonious thanks to the fashionable number of the number niche in the form of an inverted letter U and the appearance of a plastic plug of the coupling pocket. The front body kit also changed: pronounced streamlined niches of fog light headlights and the predatory mouth gave the car more modern appearance.

Our opinion
In a fairly dynamically developing segment of budget hatchbakers, Sandero should take a worthy place. The whole thing is only in the price of the question! If the base value of the 1.6-liter car does not exceed the calculated 370,000 rubles, renovation from Renault will be prepared in Russia a prosperous future.
