The result was a modern dynamic appearance with many interesting elements that noticeably refreshed the new Citroen C5.
The interior C5 surprised unexpected solidity and quality. Small clear lines, minimal gaps, an excellent instrument panel, a climate control unit impose a feeling of German severity and accuracy. The rear passengers are also not deprived of comfort: a well -given sofa, cup holders, comfortable armrests on the doors. However, the number of space is limited. Tall passengers will propagate the back of the front seat with their knees.

The 2.0-liter diesel is lucky without excitement. For racing, of course, it will not work, but for everyday movement around the city just right. Confident craving from the bottom of the maximum torque of 320 nm is reached at 2000 rpm. When overtaking you need to be more closely: the automatic transmission is not too quick, especially when switching down, when the machine starts to frantically search for the desired transmission of six possible.
The Hydractive 3+ suspension, like previous versions, allows you to adjust the road clearance, and sometimes does it on its own (for example, it presses the car by 45 mm for ease of landing, or to increase resistance with speed growth). In the Comfort mode, C5 demonstrates impressive smoothness: road joints clicks like seeds, and it does not graze anymore on the pits. Together with good sound insulation, a long journey along the highway will be a pleasure. The turns are clearly held, but with tangible rolls. But on a broken C5 highway in comfortable mode, it copes well with asphalt traps. When pressing the key, the sport smoothness worsens, but the rolls also decrease.

However, now it is clear that a new leader has appeared in the camp of double chevrons.
