But you can’t call them cheap. Therefore, the show of one of the most affordable seven -seater cars in the Russian market aroused great interest.

With 16-inch wheels Orlando is softer, so I would choose them. With them, smoothness becomes a little better (although there are complaints about comfort here), and handling does not suffer too much. True, we will not make a verdict in advance about comfort. After all, for sure for our market, the characteristics of the chassis will be revised.


The average fuel consumption of a 1.8-liter gasoline unit in a mixed cycle is 7.3 liters per 100 km. The maximum speed of Orlando 1.8 is 185 km/h, the acceleration time 0-100 km/h takes 11.6 s. Diesel spends 6.0 liters on every 100 km. The maximum speed of the 163-horsepower machine is 195 km/h, the acceleration time is 0-100 km/h.

But the gasoline 1.8-liter engine will remain the same: 141 hp, 176 nm. Only instead of Euro-5 we will have Euro-4, but the character of the power unit will not change this. We know this, this unit is put on the Cruze collected in St. Petersburg. Middle motor. It seems to be enough for a confident driving, but there is a feeling of some kind of lack of failure. As if the engine has an inviolable supply of a dozen horsepower. As a result, for a relatively dynamic driving, the motor has to be promoted to 4000 revolutions or more, but even after this explosion does not occur. Although the sound in the cabin is as if we burn with all the money.

2.0-liter diesel with a capacity of 163 hp And a moment of 360 nm is good (there is another option with 130 hp and 315 nm). Compared to a 1.8-liter gasoline engine, it looks just better. Or maybe two. There is already a power supply of power, the engine allows you to accelerate sharply if necessary, in addition, the diesel engine in the average revolutions works quieter than the gasoline engine. And it is more economical and can be equipped with a good six -speed automatic gearbox. The latter works softly and without special delays (it is not clear why, but the ORLANDO gasoline has only mechanics, but probably in Russia the automatic transmission will eventually appear, Cruze 1.8 is equipped with automatically). And now the most important thing. Representatives of Chevrolet said that a 2.0-liter diesel will be sold in Russia! This is a very good news, I would choose it, especially since in the segment of the average -sized seven -seater single -combat diesel engines is not offered so much.

But we somehow forgot about the salon. But there is something very interesting there. No, we are not talking about the third row of chairs that can be folded in one movement of the hand (you can fold the second one, and also without effort you will get a large and even platform where you can sleep if you want to sleep). And not even about the fact that due to the adjustment of the angle of inclination of the back of the second row on the third, not the smallest men can sit relatively tolerably.

The main feature of the cabin is in the head of the audio system, it can be leaning back. As a result, we have an excellent container for small things. You simply can’t imagine the best place to store the storage, especially if the wife does not know that the radio has a double bottom.

As for everything else, here Orlando did not disappoint. It used to seem to me that the interior of this car would accurately copy Cruze. But the Chevrolet decided not to save on the work of designers. Of course, everything was done approximately in the same style, but at the same time Orlando's insides were more serious. It was not possible to find problems with ergonomics. Unless the chairs on the base machine have insufficient side support, although optional seats with leather decoration are already good. But otherwise everything is as it should. Koreans (and Orlando developed in Korea) learned to create not the most memorable, but very convenient salons.

So, what conclusion can be drawn after the test of the new Chevrolet Orlando? This is a good car that has a very interesting appearance and decent completion (already in the base there will be almost everything that drivers require a decent foreign car, including condo, six pillows, music and so on). Of course, she has flaws. Some competitors have better smoothness and sound insulation, and they have more interesting engines. However, let's not forget about the price. Orlando should become noticeably cheaper than its rivals (we, recall, focus on 700,000 rubles per car with a 141-horsepower engine). And this factor alone guarantees him success in Russia. After all, buyers of cars who have three or more children are simply forced to count money. Therefore, we will closely look at competitors.

Ford Grand C-Max
The new generation of the Ford Grand C-Max is the latest novelty in the segment of seven-seater medium-sized single crews (in Russia only Grand C-Max will be decided not to supply us). The easiest Grand C-Max will cost in Russia from 799,000 rubles. For this money, a car with a mechanics and a gasoline engine with a volume of 1.6 liters (125 hp) will be offered. A machine with a 150-horsepower 1.6 liter unit is already 850 100 rubles. The basic equipment of the model is very decent: condo, music, electric package, six pillows, a contrast system and so on.

It is pleasant that the Ford will also sell the Grand C-Max diesel, and such a machine will only be equipped with automatic (gasoline options have exclusively mechanics). Ford Grand C-Max with a 2.0-liter diesel engine (140 hp) and PowerShift automatic transmission will cost 934 100 rubles.

Mazda5
Mazda5 is another novelty of this year. This car is sold in Russia only with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine (144 hp) and only paired with a gun. Two configurations: Touring for 930,000 rubles. or Sport for 1,009,000 rubles. Moreover, the Mazda5 can be equipped with an option such as the electrical mechanism for opening the side doors.

Toyota Verso
The seven -seater version of Toyota Verso is sold in Russia only in the richest configuration of prestige, where there is everything: xenon headlights, alloy wheels, light and rain sensor, parking sensors, a contrasting system, a complete set of pillows, including side (!)
