How much has already been and, I am sure, it will still be said about the products of the largest Russian car factory, but there are less and less good things in these speeches. However, despite the fact that most owners of the VAZ brand are extremely unhappy with the quality of the assembly and components, these cars are still the most popular in the CIS. There are many reasons for this, but today's conversation will not be about that.
 
The VAZ-2123, long before the appearance of the car itself and even its prototypes, has long aroused special interest in the specialized press. The popular and beloved by many Niva has long been outdated, both morally and constructively, so competing with other, even very cheap SUVs has become more and more difficult for her, especially in foreign markets. The new model is designed to restore the staggered position of the vase in this sector. And given some factors, it seems that she will succeed.
 
The fact is that just the other day AvtoVAZ signed the long -awaited agreement with the General Motors corporation, according to which the new Niva in the European and even overseas markets will be sold under the Chevrolet brand. Naturally, before putting their label on the hood, the Americans will carefully conjure over the car, so that it really meets their high requirements. In particular, they plan to install power units and some nodes from Opel on Shevi-Niva, and the salon will also not be ignored. But the most important thing - perhaps, I repeat, perhaps all the fields for Russian and foreign markets will be collected in one place, maybe even on one conveyor, and what can this mean, I think, do not need to. With the promised cost of about eight thousand dollars, this car may be the best choice of price/quality criteria.
 
But something we were distracted, dreaming about the prospects, and completely forgot about the car itself, although he deserves attention. For once, a new model from a vase! Not just another turning or modification, but really new, designed, so to speak, from scratch. True, one of 150 cars made on the conveyor of experimental production came to us for the test, so it would be extremely incorrect to judge the new corner of this copy. But we have no other way out: the first serial cars promise at least 2002, but knowing how much they wait for the promised in Russia, it is better to ride such a car than two more years, if not more, to guess what kind of beast is such, New Niva, and with what it is said to be eaten.
 
The appearance of the VAZ-2123 is very contradictory. Somewhere it can be called beautiful, somewhere ordinary, but the overall impression is quite favorable. Moreover, the live car looks a little prettier than in some photos, which can be said about its interior. Honestly, when the first time I saw in the photo the dashboard and the steering wheel itself, I thought that the designer who developed this fell into the head of something heavy, similar to a bio-design. But live everything does not seem so terrible, moreover, pretty. If you do not find fault with the quality, then for organizing the driver’s workplace you can put a slightly stretched four. But about such an important thing as security, even if passive, the creators of the new Niva seem to have not thought. I do not ask for a pillow of safety or ABS, I understand, it’s impossible, but the six -sized front seats created as if for gnomes, where the headrest rests on you on ... shoulder blades is already a little overkill. Such a solution for a model, which will only go into production in two years, perhaps a little strange.
 
The salon is huge, even if you take into account the small external dimensions of the car itself. The huge area of \u200b\u200bglazing, including because of the unusually low window line, gives rise to the feeling that sits inside that they are in the aquarium. True, all this scope somehow went a little up - in the back seats it is crowded, especially in the knee area, and in width three not the most dense passengers are also missing. But the driver and navigator are more than free, especially in width.
 
As for sled impressions, we can only say that the driver of the old field in the new model will not discover almost nothing new for himself. Unless the handout became a little quieter, but the same could be said about some representatives of the old generation, especially so far they were new. And, what can be called strange, despite the increased engine volume, the torque of the torque in the low -speed zone fell even lower, which is why it will now become a little problematic to ride.
 
What happens in the end? The new Niva is a car, of course, deserving of attention, only those who are used to foreign cars are unlikely to pay attention to it. If in a nutshell, then compared to the previous model, it looks like Toyota Rav4, but in comparison with the same RAV, it still remains the same with the same, with all its inherent shortcomings. Or will it be more correct to say the features?
