The test program was quite simple for a full acquaintance with an updated model. There was enough time to consider the changes in the design of the car well, but to check the technical part, there was clearly not enough off -road plot.
As for the appearance, the first thing the front is noted: the more aggressive shape of the hood, the enlarged grille of the radiator, the new cylindrically prismatic headlights and the back-view reconciders built into the rear-view mirrors. Wheel arches became more muscular. The design of the wheels (diameter from 17 to 19 inches) goes well with new body painting options. In a spacious salon, which can be 5- or 7 -seater, many convenient departments for small baggage. By the way, in the system of helping to touch the lifts, an electric parking brake is used, and this led to a new layout that released a place on the central console for an additional clothing box with two cup holders. With folded seats of the third row, the volume of the luggage compartment is 769 liters, and if the second row is folded, the cargo volume will reach 1577 liters. The steering electric power is more accurate. Most of the time in normal road conditions, the entire power is transmitted to the front bridge, and the rear axle drive is automatically connected using an electrically controlled coupling only if necessary, for example, on slippery roads or at the beginning of the rise on the rise.
The attractiveness of Captiva is due to its versatility. In such a car, you can go shopping, take a big family to the country, go on a long journey. This car will appear at the end of the year. I liked the new Captiva, but only in those rather greenhouse conditions that were on the test. We’ll wait until the end of the year, and there, perhaps, we will take the capiva from our dealers, and we will wave it somewhere in Karelia. There we'll see what she is capable of.
