I specially took the BMW 3-series with a diesel engine. I know very well that the Bavarians make very good cars and therefore there was a hope that Diesel would slightly spoil the impression of this model. But it turned out that Diesel did not help too much. Indeed, with a volume of 2.0 liters. It has 163 hp. And very decent 340 nm. But the point is not only in the number of horses. It was much more impressed by the fact that the engine works almost from the bottom, reacting perfectly to any pressure on the gas pedal. And if you bring the tachometer arrow to 3-4 thousand rpm (and this happens very quickly), then the motor explodes with a powerful pickup. Already from something, but from a diesel, you do not expect such behavior.

I tried to point my colleagues that the diesel was a little boring. But they convinced me that this sound was heard just a little, and even then only at idle. In addition, in comparison with many other similar power units, the Bavarian diesel really works quite quietly. Alas, the whole hope that the BMW 320D will have a low -power and loud engine has failed. Moreover, with a bang. Indeed, in addition to everything, it turned out that the fuel consumption of the BMW 320d, well, is just very modest. Even with active driving, we hardly spent more than 10 liters. diesel fuel per 100 km.

I believe that it was precisely because of Dima G. that I found the shortcomings of the BMW 3-series that I have forgotten. Although not. One I still remember the high price. After all, a diesel treshka costs 34.2 thousand euros for the basic version or more than $ 43 thousand!

When I was imprisoned for writing this terrible explanatory note, I somehow got nervous. I don't even know why. But having drunk the green seagull and looking again at the BMW 320d photo, I realized that I don’t like it too much (just a little bit). This is the back of the car that dissonates with the general appearance. Although, I agree, this is only a miserable attempt to find a shortage of three -tire design is good.

Well, I can still say about the price (I spied on at Smolyanov). Personally, I would add a little more and take the 325i version for 36.2 thousand euros (and even better than the all-wheel drive 325xi for 39.8 thousand euros is generally my dream). Yes, and I advise you to do the same. Indeed, for sure, having almost 34-35 thousand euros, you will be able to find a couple more thousand. After all, the engine of the BMW 325i is really more powerful (218 hp). And my experience of communication with a third showed that the more horses are under her hood, the better.

I tried to tell Smolyanov, who at that moment was driving that in this car the salon was some kind of dark and painfully gloomy. But he looked at me so viciously that I felt uneasy (believe me, viciously, he knows how to watch this is his horse). And then he also stated that BMW is a serious machine, and all sorts of funny flowers are useless here. I agree that when I was sitting in the passenger seat, I somehow did not understand why the Bavarians were taking such grandmas. The salon is not good, but the special chic in the passenger seat is somehow not felt. However, as soon as Denis let me behind the wheel, I just fell in love with this car. At first sight.

Planting behind the wheel is just super! I have not been so good in any other car. The steering wheel seemed to be in his hands, it was possible to configure the chair and the steering wheel very quickly. All controls were where I expected, and the armrest in the door is completely perfect. It seems that I have been sitting here all my life. Moreover, the build quality is excellent. In general, do what you want with me, but I really liked the threek. Moreover, not only to sit, but also to manage.

Even the machine is not annoying. It works so cool that you forget about it almost immediately. The sensations from the process of driving this car are simply magnificent. Especially in the rain, when the mind makes you lower the speed and go slower, and feelings require the DRIVE. By the way, during the rain, the rain sensor helped a lot, who himself changed the speed of the wipers, allowing the driver to enjoy the road.

And now, I remembered something. It is not clear why, but in such an expensive car there is no backlight in the mirrors mounted in sunscreen visors. Actually, it surprises them in much cheaper cars. I won’t argue, there is sure to eat in expensive trim levels, but sitting in the basic version of the BMW 320d with a diesel engine will have to look at your physiognomy without illumination.

I will not smear snot for a long time. I'll go right to business. So, I like the design of the car. I am very pleased with the controllability of 3-series, as well as the characteristics of the steering. But, perhaps, the brakes pleased me the most. They are just great here. ABS is almost not felt, and when braking even at a very high speed on a wet road, the car does not scour at all. There are not even minimal deviations from a straight line! And if before the braking series I was not yet sure how to assess the car in the aggregate, then after braking I understood everything. BMW is made for the driver, here I completely agree with my colleagues.

But from the insides, I am not in particular delight. I will list my claims to the points, although I can immediately say if the car was a little easier, I would forgive him a lot. But with an expensive BMW, the demand is special. So:

- The handle adjustment handle looks very simple and cheap. It feels like she got here with some Hyundai.

- On the tested car in the mirrors for the driver and the front passenger there is no backlight. For the model for that kind of money, the absence of this little thing is incomprehensible.

- The radio looks somehow not super. By her design, she reminded me of the Blaupunkt model of a decade ago. In such a modern and high-tech car, I would like to see something more gloomily and painfully. But even more annoying the appearance of the radio, but the volume control handle. She is thin and little to take on her uncomfortable. But on the other hand, I agree that the radio here is very stylish and it is in perfect harmony with the overall design of the salon. Therefore, about the radio, I, perhaps, got slightly excited.

- If you sit in the rear chair, then you see that there are no pockets on the backs of the front seats. This alone is already bad, but even worse that the back itself is sheathed with hard plastic, it is unpleasant to get into it with your feet. But at the same time, one cannot pass by the fact that in the new three -three space there is more than in old models. Now you can calmly be in the back, without resting your knees in the front seats. And in general, sitting from behind is very convenient here I put a great assessment. Although not. I take my words back. There is a drawback. Perhaps it is found only on cars in simple trim levels, but the fact remains, the BMW 320d does not have a armrest behind.

Everyone has already managed to ride a BMW 320d. And in honor of this event, it was decided to call on McDonalds. And no need to shout a huge number of people in Russia with the word McDonalds say fu and what horror, but at the same time they themselves periodically go there. We are just about these people. In general, we are sitting in this restaurant, we chew the bigmags, look at the three -wing one under the window and listen to Valera, whom everyone already wants to nail. And then a red Mazda 323 with a girl driving stops next to the BMW 3-series. It stands for yourself, it does not touch your place. Includes an emergency. And here the heart pounded. And true Mazda stood for a reason, but on the case. The charming beauty in parking hooked us. By the way, Svetlana can immediately convey a huge respect - she did not leave the scene and calmly waited for our arrival. In general, an honest and decent lady. Well done.

The traffic police, the insurance commissar were called. The first arrived in 2.5 hours, saying that they were still well done. But the commissar from Lat (it works in St. Petersburg, where we conducted the test) worked surprisingly promptly. He was in place 15 minutes after the call and quickly helped to draw up all the documents.

In general, the meaning is, as a result of contact with the Mazda 323 in the BMW bumper, the 3-series there was a very decent dent in the size of two male fists (at the same time, nothing happened to Mazda). But we decided not to photograph the damage in place, as there was a real rain on the street. And giving the car it turned out that there was no dent on the bumper! There were only red stripes that were easily erased with a finger! According to BMW representatives, there is nothing surprising in the disappearance of the dent, since the bumper is self -healing here. So BMW 3-series showed us one more advantage. Moreover, very valuable.
