Urban Line execution option. Nostrils, a jumper of the air intake and the overlay on the rear bumper here are white. White cases of mirrors and wheels with 17-inch disks are optionally available instead of full-time 16-inch. Comfort increased thanks to several things.

The line of engines of the new BMW 1st series so far consists of four-cylinder units. As part of the test, it was possible to get acquainted with two of them with a 1.8-liter diesel engine and a powerful 1.6-liter gasoline unit: compared to predecessors, their power increased by more than 30 hp, and fuel consumption decreased by 2025%.

With a height of 190 cm in the previous generation, I could not sit behind myself. In the new one, this is already possible. True, there is no need to expect comfort, in the back seat, I sit, as they say, in the lumbar, the lower back is pressed to the back of the rear chair, the knees support the front back. But it became more convenient to sit back, the doorway in the lower part became wider.


In the C-class among premium brands, the competition is perhaps only Audi A3 (from 899,000 rubles)/A3 Sportback (from 923,000 rubles) and hybrid Lexus CT 200h (from 1,244,000 rubles). In Russia, the new five-door BMW of the 1st series will be available from September, and its cost will start from the mark of 875,000 rubles (version 116i). Modification 118i is available in two Urban or Sport trim levels at a price of 995,000 rubles. The standard diesel version in the nameless design of 120D starts from the mark of 1,120,000 rubles, the conceptual versions of Urban and Sport will be added to the cost of 75,000 rubles.
