Having taken as the basis a 2.0-liter 200-horsepower gasoline engine, they turned it into a real beast, simultaneously put a lot of alterations into the design. In the cylinder block, racks and lids of indigenous bearings were strengthened. The fingers and rings of the pistons and connecting rods were also modified. Cars and rings of the saddles of valves were subjected to improvement. Moreover, the head of the cylinder block is made of a new aluminum and silicon alloy. In the intake tract, the masters integrated shutters that ensure the turbulence of the incoming air. Fuel into the cylinders is now injected under a pressure of 110 bar created by a modified pump. In order for a new turbine to download more air, an increased wheel was inserted into it. The supercharger forming an integrated module with a exhaust manifold is now cast from steel, which is able to withstand high thermal loads. And, as a result, the maximum boost pressure jumped to 1.2 bar. The intercooler is fully made of aluminum, which can improve its effectiveness compared to traditional coolers with plastic tanks. That is, in TTS, the entire intake path is optimized to ensure the minimum possible pressure loss.
It is also noteworthy that the powerful 2.0 TFSI weighs only 153 kg, that the total TTS mass is reduced by the way, the hanging along the axes and, therefore, the handling of the car, improves. Moreover, in this particular case, the model was equipped with a gearbox S Tronic with two clutch, combining the advantages of automatic transmission and a mechanical gearbox. The transition from one step to another is carried out for hundredths of a second, and without interrupting the stream of power. The technical principle of operation S Tronic is perfectly simple: in one case there are two blocks of KP, each of which is equipped with its own multi -disc clutch. Both KP blocks work constantly, but only one of them has a closure with the engine. And, of course, car suspensions have changed significantly. Due to sports springs, the road clearance is reduced by 10 mm. In the sporting mode, the suspensions become completely dentist. When looking at the profile, the large 18-inch wheels and the line of advanced thresholds are attention. The housings of external mirrors sparkle with aluminum trim. A powerful rear bumper, the same platinum-gray diffuser lining and TTS emblem placed final accents. And the two doubles of the exhaust system seemed to signal the potential of the Audi powerful 4-cylinder engine.

At the same time, the car is not devoid of functionality. Yes, it is impossible to sit behind, only a child can fit there. But the backs of the rear seats are thrown separately, which allows you to increase the luggage compartment from 290 to 700 liters. In addition, there are cup holders and various niches for small luggage.
Hot is more expensive
It remains for me to say that the price of TTS Coupe 2 112 000 rubles with a 6-speed manual transmission, and 2 182,000 with S Tronic. Of course, not cheap, but competitors, like the same BMW M3, are not too accessible. And TTS has not only a bright appearance, but also a full -wheel drive transmission, which actually allows you to use it all year round.
One thing will say in the end: although the car is designed for hot heads, it is worth managing it with a cold mind.
