A large plus of Q5 - in the cabin there are many pockets, nets and other cup holders, which allows even with a large number of things to maintain the machine in order. Q5 is perfectly holding the road, forgives many driver's flaws, which is not surprising with so many auxiliary systems. Even with the ESP disconnected, the car instantly picks up a sloppy driver who makes a sharp maneuver such as moose dough. But there is no complete confidence in the car, possibly, due to the fact that the steering does not quite adequately transfers the situation on the road-there is practically no increase in force on the steering wheel. But along the rocky mountain landscape, the crossover moves very confidently. We did not storm the maximum possible rise, but also from a simple ride along a steep slope, which was completely pushed by stones in the style of a jeep-grip, enjoyed true pleasure.
Q5 can have three basic ones and one individual option to set the driving mode and, accordingly, suspension. The difference between sports and comfort, even when driving a cobblestone is small. But the difference in the dynamics is already more noticeable - when switching to sport, the machine starts much more frozen. Although not as fast as expected. Despite the impressive volumes of engines (gasoline 2.0 TFSI and 3.2 FSI, turbodiesel 2.0 and 3.0 liters), the number of horses and Newton-meters, the new 7-speed gearbox S-Tronic, which replaces DSG, is slightly conceived when switching . Apparently, it protects the engine and fuel, but loses in the acceleration. To the direct question, which was preferred - economy or dynamics, Audi engineers, without hesitation, answered: economy.
In the meantime, the most frisky car with a three-liter diesel engine turned out to be the most frisky. 3.0 TDI V6 develops a power of 240 hp, while consuming about 7.5 liters per hundred kilometers. And if you play with the settings, then here you can feel the same the sports, which is said so much in the official Audi press release. In response to my complaint about the sluggish reaction of the box to press the accelerator pedal, the project manager responsible for the development of Q5 promised to create a more sports Q5 in the next generation. Wait and see. According to the manufacturer, Audi is more likely to move in the opposite direction - for the most economical Audi, Audi promises soon (in the middle of next year) to produce a car with a slightly strangled 2.0 TFSI engine at 177 hp.
Q5 will fit perfectly into the hustle and bustle of city streets and will not let you down to our not too flat autobahns. An impressive clearance and relatively small size, as well as auxiliary systems will greatly facilitate parking.
It seems to me that the Q5 will become a hit mainly among the beautiful half of humanity. Even if you omit the benefits mentioned above, this is a completely new model. Therefore, it will not become obsolete so fast. So a man who will decide to make such a gift to his girlfriend will not soon have to fork out again. The price of a car in Russia will be known at the end of August, in Germany a car with a top -end diesel trash Treshkoots will cost about 47,500 euros. The first batch of Q5 will arrive in Moscow in November, and the main sales will begin in December. First, two engines will be delivered - gasoline 2.0 TFSI and 3.0 TDI. Then it is supposed to add another, 2.0 TDI to them. According to one of the dealerships of Moscow, the line of potential buyers has already begun to build.
