Those who are ready to challenge the stereotypes are likely to be an interesting two -liter diesel, equipped with a Common Rail system. The power of this engine is 170 hp. At a maximum speed of 204 km/h, acceleration to hundreds takes 9.5 s.
If you are interested in a more powerful diesel engine, then you need a real beast 3.0 TDI V6 with a capacity of 240 hp. This means that the notorious 100 km/h Q5 will gain in just 6.5 s, and the high -speed maximum will come at a mark of 225 km/h. And although diesel fuel is now, like the 95th gasoline, you will have to call for refueling infrequently. The average diesel fuel consumption is 7.7 liters.
The topic of fuel saving in Audi is one of the most important. Unnoticed by drivers, technologies come to our lives, which yesterday seemed to be science fiction. For example, in a Q5, the engine warms up faster than on other cars. This is achieved thanks to the shutdown of the part of the cooling system at the first time after starting the motor. In addition, the crossover restores energy in the phases of braking and moving. The generator converts kinetic energy into electricity, which accumulates in the battery. When accelerating, the battery gives energy back.
In 2009, the most powerful gasoline version equipped with a 3.2 FSI engine with a volume of 3197 cm3 will enter the market. This engine developing 270 hp, accelerates Q5 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 s. At the same time, the maximum speed is 232 km/h. We honestly admit that we were not able to test Q5 on the off -road. The route laid by the organizers in the vicinity of Spanish Valencia did not imply a road without asphalt. Therefore, we cannot judge the novelty as an SUV. Well, we will do it when the car appears in Russia. But we can talk about the behavior of the debutant on the highway.
If you try to give a brief description of the new crossover, then it should be called fast and well -controlled. For speed we praise 240 -horsepower diesel. But he should not rest on his laurels alone. It is also worth noting the new seven -speed gearbox S Tronic. In automatic mode, the transmission, as if at a low start, holds the Sport mode ready.
Not a copy, but the original
The Q5 design is made in a traditional restrained-aggressive style for AUDI. Moreover, the debutant almost does not resemble the older brother of Q7, for which we say special thanks. Our opinion
Audi Q5 will surely become the usual inhabitant of large Russian cities. The output to the market of the first German company Q7 in the history of the German company proved that our consumer is not embarrassed by the absence of solid experience in the production of such cars. The credit of confidence in relation to Audi today is practically inexhaustible. And if so, Kui iron is still hot.
