The result of modernization can no longer be called four. A4 deserves the whole five! Mini-Business Sedan got rid of excessive refinement, becoming a little incorrect geometrically, but much more alive. The flowing rear lights and headlights with a cocky-honey squirrel, of course, did not break the ice wall of German perfectionism with one blow, but made noticeable cracks in it, through which it was pulled with warmth.
 

Feyslifting? Restyling? Nothing like that! Modernization? What else, on the very bowels! Audi soaked its A4 so much that it considered it possible to declare the fruit of her own efforts with a new generation. That is, Audi A4 B7. Something similar happened in 1993, when the transition Passat B4 was born.

The current Audi chief, Walter de Silva, worked for 12 years in Alfa Romeo, and with the emotional side of his work, he has a complete O`Kay.

 

By and large, the power frame of the body and the roof remained from the previous car. All body panels, bumpers, new optics. The line of power units was subjected to total audit, however, the most popular 1.6 and 2.0 engines in Russia remained the same. In addition, instead of a Europeanly advanced 3.2 FSI with direct injection, an old 3.0 V6 engine comes to us. The greatest progress is achieved in the diesel direction: for example, version V6 3.0 TDI is equipped with an A6 204-horsepower engine. The suspension was improved, in which nodes from A6 and even from S4 appeared.

  

In the smallest degree, the changes affected the interior. But they are immediately noticeable this steering wheel decorated under the radiator cladding, and a color display on the dashboard. These details help to give the salon the car what he always lacked, style. There are more than enough qualities here, but self -identification has not yet been completed. The youngest Audi as air needs a clear interior idea that will allow him to feel confidently next to focus competitors. It is no secret that the recently revised Mercedes C-class has become undisguised luxurious, and the new BMW treshka, which will appear on sale in the spring, went into hard technology. Audi just needs to keep up with them.
 
Having set aside the image considerations, it should be recognized that the A4 is hidden impeccably. And outside and inside. Every part is pleasant in the car. It is impossible to blame the creators of the car that they saved somewhere or something. Even the seats with a kind of unpretentious fabric upholstery seem to be works of ergonomic art. The level, as they say, is evident.
 
And Audi rides thoroughbred. The suspension is generally super. A dense, infinitely energy-intensive it turns the intricate and expressive relief of St. Petersburg roads into the surface of the bowling path. The tremors caused by hefty pits are extinguished with amazing delicacy. No vibration makes its way to the steering wheel. It seems that the machine is strained with all its might with one goal not to disturb the rest of its passengers. For which many thanks to her.

 

With controllability and brakes, A4 has always been all right. This car is unlikely to be provocative, sports, but a quick ride on it brings pleasure. The car is accurate, obedient and predictable even after losing the grip wheels with the road. The bust at the speed at the entrance to the turn iswitted by a smooth and light demolition of the front, which is extinguished by ESP. The ski electronics does not tolerate at all, his soul is in the root. The steering is characterized by soft, not very fast reactions in the presence of perfectly formed feedback. The beauty! But beauty has been worth money from time immemorial.

 

And today it costs a lot. Audi A4 with photos with complete insurance will cost fifty thousand dollars. But the car offers itself for this money without a shadow of embarrassment in cunningly narrowed headlights.
