+ Tiptronic - perhaps not an ideal transmission, but very similar to that. The passage of the turning chain involves periodic acceleration and discharge of gas. In automatic mode, the transmission thinks too slowly and sometimes switches in the wrong way. The issue is resolved by transition to manual mode. At the same time, it is not necessary to worry that the engine speed will go beyond the working range: when the limit speeds of rotation are reached, the box automatically switches to another step. At the same time, a clean automatic machine is still extremely convenient in city traffic jams, and the sports regime is quite suitable with fast movement along highways. So Tiptronic allows you to satisfy the needs of drivers of different qualifications and in different conditions of movement.
+/- The efficiency of braking of modern cars is really very high. This can demonstrate an emergency braking exercise with the vast evidence. It also helps to understand how effective ABS is. However, as it turned out, it is psychologically quite difficult to implement emergency braking to an ordinary driver - knowing that now he would have to stop, I began to dump the gas a few meters earlier than before. Normally for driving along the street. Worse, I did not press the brake sharply enough. Perhaps the Brake Assist subsidious systems can be really useful. It is a pity that there is no such thing on A4.
