Audi A1 Wrestling with a complex of a small car. At the wheel of this premium mini, both a student and a solid uncle with glasses look equally good. There is no premium size, but there are four rings on the radiator grill. And in a month of acquaintance, I had almost no reason to regret our union.

For two thousand kilometers of communication with Audi A1, we have become a flooded pair. Largely because in this car I absolutely did not lack dynamics. It would seem that not such an outstanding indicator of 122 forces removed from a 1.4 -frail turbo engineer. But they are implemented simply great, not least thanks to the efforts of the DSG robot. Great for ordinary life, of course, and not for racing.

Yes, the Mini Cooper S and Alfa Romeo Mito QV will be faster, but these are already heated versions. In addition, they are much more nervous on a cold or slippery coating than a civilian A1: the stabilization light bulb does not flash here so often, and ESP works very intelligently. Audi A1 is not trying to turn a everyday trip to work into the stage of the Grand Prix Formula 1 at all. He is restrained. But not at all cold.

All the month I traveled quite dynamically, we can say, deliberately not optimal. But the result of the fuel consumption is almost no different from the numbers obtained in the first two weeks of 9.7 liters per 100 kilometers. Potential owners can say that they will receive the dynamics of Audi A1 at a price that is quite sane for our conditions, which, if desired, can be reduced by another one and a half liters.

Immediately after meeting A1, I noted the good handling of a little hatchback. A month later, I did not change my opinion at all, but I realized that the fee for such chassis settings was too high: the suspension still seemed very stiff. The situation is aggravated when passengers appear in the back seat: the clamped shock absorbers do not want to perceive Moscow road realities at all. And, coupled with additionally reducing road clearance, this makes you slow down.

Another feature that showed when the temperature is reduced, shock absorbers tangibly tanning in the cold. After night parking, they require gradual heating. Until this moment, the car is felt very sharp in reactions and shaking. Frozen tires also affect.

The salon freezes quite quickly, but this is a feature of all small cars. And it is reluctant to heat up. Although the Audi beats the quality of the interior, the Germans could not teach this machine to keep heat in cold weather. Or did not want to.

To warm up the TFSI motor with direct injection (and with it the salon) in idle is ungrateful due to its low heat transfer. Better, cleaning the snow and add -ups non -freezing, slowly touched on the road and bask at a small move. Unfortunately, the Audi A1 does not have heated windshield, there is only blowing. It must be admitted that with our winters heating looks preferable and reduces the chance to get a crack on the windshield from the temperature difference.

Another important quality of any car on non -freezing fluid on our dirty roads. For two thousand kilometers we bought four five -liter canists with non -freezing, that is, about one for every week of winter operation. Given the fact that the headlight washer was installed on our car, and the rear window is polluted instantly in raw weather, this result should be recognized as decent.

But in addition to expenses for gasoline and non -freezing the future owner, other expenses are waiting for: CASCO and OSAGO policies, transport tax. Let's calculate what the price of Audi A1 is made of, remember the main options, consider competitors and look at the secondary market. And, of course, we will find out what the first year of possession of the smallest Audi in Russia will result in.

The initial price of the Audi A1 with a 1.4 TFSI engine and the 7 -speed robot S Tronic in the Ambition configuration is 995,029 rubles. The equipment is top -end, but the number of options offered for it is great and all, traditionally for Audi, are very expensive. So, for example, a SA Line exterior decoration package will cost 80,991 rubles, and a multimedia system with MMI Navigation Plus navigation in 142,392 rubles!

Our car was not so strong: climate control, Concert audio system with eight columns, the ability to read MP3 files and the AUX entrance, armrest, sports fabric seats (if you want the skin 64,462 rubles), a three-spitting steering wheel, a baggage attachment package in salon and luggage compartment and a package of LED lighting. A good set, but without frills. However, these modest options increased the price to 1 201 300 rubles.

Despite the fact that at the wheel of A1 you can even find premium people at a respectable age, it is worth recognizing that the unit is oriented primarily to young people, who even manages to visit 20 thousand a year in the city. We will take this figure for the average annual mileage. The age is standard for most insurance companies over 22 years old, and a driver’s experience is more than three years.

To calculate the costs of fuel, we took an average value of 9.5 liters per hundred kilometers of mileage and the average price for the 95th gasoline in Moscow at 29 rubles per 1 liter.

Do not forget that we do not include in annual expenses the cost of winter tires and non -freezing, which, by the way, consumes A1 with appetite, deliberately supplying water to headlights and rear windows. Even by gross estimates, all this will increase the cost of ownership in the first year another thirty rubles, as a result of which the price for each kilometer of run will rise to almost nine rubles.

Audi A1 is not so long ago sold in Russia, so the number of offers in the secondary market is small. These are mainly machines in 2010, with children's missing and the vast majority with the 1.4 TFSI engine and a robot. But prices, traditionally for premium brands, are reluctant to fall. Buying a1 A1 less than 830-850 thousand rubles will not work. Therefore, it is better to wait for at least a year or look at the new car.

Our acquaintance with Audi A1 has come to an end. Unfortunately. Because if you have already grown before you do not have a complex of useless a large car, if you are not burdened by a large family, a dog and cargo transportation, but for certain reasons you want to stay within the framework of the premium, then Audi A1 is, in fact, the only choice. And the choice is very interesting.

A1 has everything to satisfy the requests of a chuckle citizen. Stylish, dynamic car, with a comfortable interior. And soon A1 will become even more practical: a 5-door version of Sportback will appear on sale, the test of which is preparing for publication on the motor.



Competitors
Mini
Mini is rightfully considered the ancestor of the segment compact premium and, at the same time, the main competitor of Audi A1. The Russian market presents all (four) modifications of the three -door Mini: One, Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper Works. Audi cannot boast of such a wealth of choice.

All mini, in fact, are equipped with the same 1.6 liter engine. But if atmospheric versions of this engine developing 98 and 120 horsepower are installed on the One and Cooper configuration (from 730 thousand rubles), then top modifications are offered with turbocharged units. The closest competitor of the test Audi A1 122-horsepower Mini Cooper at an initial price of 800 thousand rubles. The 184-horsepower Cooper S will cost no less than 1,075,000 rubles. Three of the above Mini modifications can be ordered with both a mechanical and automatic 6 -speed gearbox, an additional payment for which will be 74,500 rubles. The extreme version of JCW (211 forces) costs from 1,365,000 rubles and is offered only with mechanics.

Citroen DS3
The first Citroen in our market, related to the premium line DS. The feature of the DS3 model is a large number of exterior decoration options and a variety of colors.

The simplest DS3 is equipped with a modest 1.4 -liner motor with a capacity of 95 horsepower and 5 -speed mechanics. Prices start from the mark of 661 thousand rubles. The next stage VTI 120 C 1.6-liter 120-horsepower atmospheric. Such a DS3 on the handle costs from 744 thousand rubles, and equipped with a four -stage automatic machine for 30 thousand rubles more. The most powerful modification of TNR 150 under the hood of the turbo version of the 1.6 engine, developing 150 horsepower. This DS3 is supplied only in the top -end Sportchic setting with a 6 -speed manual gearbox and costs at least 827 thousand rubles.

Alfa Romeo Mi.to
The ALFA Romeo Italian brand of the Italian brand in Russia is not now, as there are no dealers in Moscow. But fans can be cooked by the only seller in St. Petersburg. The dealer in the northern capital is offered by Alfa Romeo Mito in any of the following configurations: ProgResion, DistINuctive and Quadrofoglio Verde. The easiest Mi.to Progression is supplied only with a 1.4-liter 105-horsepower engine on the handle. The initial price is 765 thousand rubles. DistINuctive modification with the same engine and gearbox costs from 850 thousand rubles. A more powerful 135-horsepower version of the engine and the TST robot will raise the price to almost a million to 997 thousand rubles.

Distinguished by the internal and external decoration of Alfa Romeo Mi.to in the QV configuration already has 170 forces and 250 nm under the hood. Lower bar 1 060 000 rubles.
