The engine is turbocharged, is it complete drive not about Honda?

Cute, but such a coloring is more familiar to the Americans. But the fact that everything works in the cabin, pressed, regulated, appreciated by our compatriots.

So it was, while their engines set small city cars in motion. But for the all -wheel drive alternate, the usual in -line four is not enough, and the six -cylinder will increase the mass and fuel consumption. Using a turbocharger, a four -cylinder engine with a volume of 2.3 L learned to produce the power of a six -cylinder engine: 240 liters. With. at 6,000 rpm.

But this is not all: Acura engineers were able to save the engine from a typical turbo problem of failure of torque before starting the work of the supercharger. The low pressure turbine quickly spins, does not give failures, but does not provide an effective increase in power at the top. And the high -pressure turbocharger provides, but not without turboyam. Acura made two in one: a special valve changes the geometry of the turbine depending on the engine speed. There is one entrance on the engine bottoms to the turbine, and at high speeds the valve opens the second door.
 

How to try it all? Very simple: we press the gas pedal on the floor. The Acura RDX engine instantly responds to the gas pedal, instantly breaking off. Super!

Then there is an even, unprofitable acceleration, other stock turbo engines would interrupt acceleration with a pause-turbocharger. And the RDX engine persistently carries me and the car forward. When the arrow of the tachometer crossed the mark of 4,000 rpm, the motor softly, but significantly strengthened the onslaught. It’s good that Honda switched to turbo engine! It is only a pity that so far such engines are put only on acura.
 


G.ing actively!

As in the Acura RL (Honda Legend Cooperative), RDX has all four wheels leading this is the merit of the SH-AWD system, or super-leading (Super-Handling), all-wheel drive.
 

We go at a constant speed. RDX behaves as a typical front -wheel drive. And now acceleration: the weight is transferred to the rear wheels. The transmission understood my intentions, and the torque of the engine goes to the rear wheels. Now the behavior of the car resembles a classic all -wheel drive.

We make a left turn: at the signal of the sensors, the transmission throws the torque of the rear axle to the right (external) wheel.

With constant acceleration-reinforcements, the box with the GRADE Logic Control system holds reduced gears to avoid jerks when switching. I press the left petal and give in to gas the machine goes into normal mode. Now you can accelerate and switch to increased gear. If you use the steering wheel switches in sports mode, the box will not go into the automatic transmission mode until the Drive mode is included.

So far, Acura is not going to officially trade in cars in Russia.
