Protection of adult passengers:

The first Test Volvo C30 was held in 2007. In 2009, the previous result was added to assess the protection against whip injuries when hit behind, and the points were counted in accordance with the new EURO NCAP technique. The test participated in the same configuration as in 2007. With a frontal blow, the steering wheel shifted forward, ensuring additional space to the driver. Based on the testimony of the mannequin sensors, maximum points were exhibited, but several points were removed for the presence of rigid elements in the front panel, which can be dangerous for knees and thighs of sediments of a different set. Based on the testimony of mannequin sensors, the maximum number of points was put up for the shock and the post, however, when the security curtain was completely disclosed from the side due to the children's armchair installed on the back row. The front armors and head restraints provided good protection against whip injuries when hitting behind.

Security of passenger children

For the protection of a 1,5-year-old passenger in dynamic tests, the car scored the maximum number of points. The front airbag of the passenger can be turned off at the brand dealer, which will allow you to install a children's chair "against the direction of movement" to this place. Also as an option is offered a manual cushion switch in the cabin, however, this system does not provide a clear informing of the driver about the status of airbags. The presence of ISOFIX fasteners and the possibility of using safety straps is clearly not indicated.

Protection of pedestrians

The front edge of the hood scored 0 points for protecting foot pedestrians, and the protection of the adult's head when the hood surface is impaired mainly badly. Despite this, the bumper received a good assessment.

Protection of pedestrians

The ESC electronic stabilization system and an alarm on non-unspecified front sediment safety belts are included in the basic configuration of all modifications C30.
