Comments:

With the front and lateral blows of the Golf body showed itself well. One of the children's seats used in the test was equipped with an ISOFIX fastening system, however, difficulties have arisen in the car. The manufacturer stated to experts that all problems were eliminated. Protection of pedestrians turned out to be controversial: better average in the heads of the head of the head, but the hood and bumper on the front edge is very bad.

Frontal impact:

When hitting the passenger salon retained the integrity, demonstrating a relatively low degree of compression. The front driver's front airbag showed a good result by providing constant contact with his head. The results of the breast protection for the front passenger were worse than for the driver, so they were taken into account when issuing a summary assessment. The manufacturer placed in the roof column casing protection from multilayer steel and filler, this should have protected the driver's knees, but these protective elements did not fully cope with the task assigned to them, hazardous to the upper part of the legs.

Child safety-passenger:

In the test, children's seats of various types took part, one of which was equipped with an ISOFIX fastening system, which provides a more reliable installation of these accessories than traditional, fixing the seat belt. However, problems have arisen with this chair: it turned out to be correctly very difficult, and the correct installation indicator is almost not visible. The rear seat belts were equipped with automatic locks for fastening the seats of the usual design, but the experts did not find instructions for their use, so this system was not used in the test. The cabin was a reminder of the presence of anterior airbag passenger, but it did not inform about the inadmissibility of the installation on this place of the children's chair "against the direction of movement".

Side impact:

The side airbag was protected by the chest and abdominal driver. The driver's head hit the side rack of the door and the upper fastening of the seat belt. With a tighter strike, the driver must protect the driver in the rack liner.

Pedestrian safety:

Protection of the head of adult pedestrians and children turned out to be better than average, but the bumper and the front edge of the hood almost did not soften the kick.
