OCTAVIA body was very strong and provided good protection to his passengers. Passive security systems included single-stage front driver and passenger airbags, side airbags and pretensioners with front belt load limiters. OCTAVIA has a fifth generation with Volkswagen Golf with Volkswagen Golf, however, unlike the "German", Czech has no security curtain in the basic configuration. However, they are available at an additional cost. The protection of children was good, and the estimate for the protection of pedestrians only almost reached up to three stars.

Front punch:

Body car has undergone minimal deformation. On the danger of the installation of a children's chair, "against the direction of movement", in front of the active pillow, only the pictogram is informing, which is on the edge of the front panel and can easily break away. In the test, the Fair Bimbo Fix chairs were used ("in the direction of movement" for the older, and "against the direction of movement" - for the younger) installed in the ISOFIX fasteners. Both children were well protected, although during the frontal impact of the load on the chest cells were slightly higher than the norm.

Side strike:
