Fabia turned out to be a strong car, well defended adult passengers. The front airbag of the passenger (is offered as an option) can provide additional protection by reducing the load on the chest. Children's chairs, fixed at special points on the seats of the car, did not cope with their task. The instructions for their installation turned out to be confusing that it could further worsen the situation.

Front punch:

Front airbag for the driver, which is included in the basic bundle, well protected the head and chest. The front seat belts are equipped with pretensioners, and the driver also has a load limiter. The pretensioners must limit the passenger's body moving forward with a front collision. Traces of the blow of the chest driver about the steering wheel is not detected. The front airbag for the passenger was not included in the basic configuration, however, at the request of the manufacturer, the version with it was tested, and the results are included in the overall rating. The advantages of the presence of such a pillow are better visible in several other circumstances of the collision, but even in this case the load on the peasant passenger decreased. Torpedo hard elements were a danger to the drivers' knees, however the lower part of the legs and the feet were protected well enough. The central place of the back of the seats is equipped with a simple two-point security belt, which can cause a back injury or abdominal department.

The front airbag of the passenger could be installed at an additional cost, so the manufacturer had to pay the issue of warning about the danger of placing a children's chair "against the direction of movement" at this place. However, only an incomprehensible icon and a sticker on the windshield, which may be lost, concerned this issue, and none of the warnings mentioned the likelihood of obtaining serious or even mortal injuries. The use of children's chairs installed in special attachments in the car seats for all divisions of the Volkswagen concern are recommended for all units.
