Comments:

Altea became the first model of the Seat, which earned five stars. The body turned out to be very strong, providing passengers a reliable security framework. Passive security systems included single-stage airbags for front sedams, pretensioners and front-belt load limiters and side airbags. The protection of children was at the height, as well as the driver's protection when hit by side. Protection of pedestrians, as in Citroën C4, turned out to be the best among all the previously tested cars.

Front punch:

The body has undergone minimal deformation, and the driver's door after impact opened almost without effort. Single-stage airbags, as well as pretensioners and safety belt load limiters showed a good result by holding the load on the chest and legs at a relatively low level. However, contact with rigid elements of the front panel threatens the drivers' knees. Niche for the legs was not so much deformed, and the movement of pedals was under control.

Security of passenger children:

When the front airbag deactivation of the passenger airbag on the front panel is visible to the inscription "OFF", which reports the status of the pillow. However, in addition to the pictograms on the panel and stickers on glass, which can easily break away, the danger of the installation of the children's chair "against the direction of movement" opposite the active airbag does not report anything. Both children were placed in Fair Bimbo Fix chairs, fixed "in the direction of movement" for the elder and "against the direction of movement" for the younger using the ISOFIX two-point fasteners. Protection turned out to be good.

Side strike:

Impressive protection system with side shocks, including side cushions and security curtains, protecting sedimons of both rows. Maximum scores are obtained for side shocks about overlapping and pole.

Pedestrian safety:

Protection of pedestrians is provided at a high level, especially from the side of the bumper and the hood in areas where the child's head falls. It is worse about the departure of the head of an adult, and the front edge turned out to be traumatic. The overall result, together with the result of Citroën C4, was the best at the time of testing.
