Comments:

Cars after VIN VF1BJRE0633480386 (model range of 2005) were equipped with an alarm of an unencumbed front passenger seat belt. This increased the number of points, but the ranking remained not changed. The maximum number of points was dialed with lateral blows, and only two points were removed during the front. Experts noted that double seat belt pretensioners significantly reduced the risk of damage to the driver's feet, as they limited the movement of his body forward with a frontal impact. Both children were protected well, and their chairs complied with all EURO NCAP requirements. However, pedestrian protection turned out to be very bad. The manufacturer must pay more attention to this aspect.

Front punch:

Front airbags are inflated in two stages, providing better protection with rigid collisions. The sensor also determines the driver size and adjusts the power of detonation. This, as well as a strong car body and a small shift of the steering column, provided the necessary driver safety. Renault tried to protect his knees and hips as much as possible, but the experts considered that the steering column still threatens the left knee, and removed one score. The deepening for the driver's feet is slightly deformed. The central seat of the seat is equipped with a three-point seat belt, providing some better protection compared to the waist.

Security of passenger children:

The manufacturer received a positive feedback for clear warnings about the inadmissibility of the installation of a children's chair "against the direction of movement" opposite the airbag of the front passenger. Chairs Renault Kiddy EasyFix used special attachment points in the seats of the car. An armchair for the older child also had an upper strap for fastening it to the back of the seat. The chair for the 18-month passenger was equipped with a stand for stopping the floor. Heads of both passengers were well protected in all collisions.

Side strike:

The protection system when hitting the side of the side airbags and the curtains for the heads of passengers of both rows. The car scored the maximum number of points.

Pedestrian safety:

The front of the car is very tough, traumatic, and only small areas of the hood provided at least some kind of protection.
