Comments:

The car scored two stars, but only a little bit was not enough until the third. In the frontal impact, the main drawback was the compression of the passenger salon and the displacement of hard elements in the lower part of the torpedo. They posed a threat to the knees, legs and pelvis of the driver. The size of the steering wheel displacement during the frontal impact also caused concern. However, in a lateral blow, the car proved itself better, complying with the safety requirements of 1998.

Frontal blow:

The left front stand shifted back 132 mm, but the passenger salon did not lose structural integrity. After the blow, the driver's door opened without the use of a special tool, although with some difficulty. The passenger door opened normally. The steering wheel shifted back 140 mm and the top is 59 mm. The indentation of the driver’s legs was deformed moderately, and the brake pedal shifted back 181 mm. Protection of the head and neck of the driver is recognized as good, and contact with the head with a pillow of safety is stable. The steering wheel shift can become potentially dangerous with the driver's size that are different from the mannequin, so the evaluation for the protection of the head was reduced. Security systems saved the driver’s chest from contact with the steering wheel, but the load from the belt created a small risk of breast damage. The driver’s left knee hit the steering column casing with a force sufficient to cause injury. And if the knee penetrated deeper into the front panel, then the risk of injury would be much higher. The driver's right knee hit the front panel a little to the right of the steering column. Protection of the feet and ankles is recognized as weak due to deformation of the foot niche.

Side blow:

The side of the car from the side of the blow was pressed inside the cabin and struck the ribs and pelvis of the driver, creating the risk of serious damage to the chest, so the assessment of the protection of this area is very low. The lateral blow is not a serious danger to the head or abdominal department of the driver, so the assessment for their protection is high, although the basin underwent some risk.

Pedestrian safety:

Protection of the head of the child. Two out of six control points comply with regulatory requirements: one under an air filter, and the second - above the cross -line beam of the hood. Two points protected better than average, and one was not enough before the norm. Two points turned out to be worse than the average: above the persistent shock absorber and above the fastening of the support cover of the hood. Protection of the top of the legs. None of the three points fulfilled the standard, but two of them protected better than average, and one worse - above the towing eye. Protection of the head of an adult pedestrian. Not a single point complies with the requirements, and only one turned out to be better than the average, and the five others were worse. The most dangerous places are located above the hinges of the hood cover. Feet protection. None of the three points fulfilled the standard, one point - in the center of the front edge of the hood - provided protection better than the middle level, but the other two are worse.
