Comments:

Peugeot 1007 was the first representative of class A to receive five stars from Euro NCAP, gaining the maximum number of points among all tested representatives of their class. The body turned out to be extremely durable, protecting adult passengers from damage to the frontal and lateral strikes. There is an alarm about the unsteady seat belts for all seats. The protection of a 3-year-old passenger was also at a height, but 18-month-old security was not ensured. Pedestrians are provided with medium -level protection.

Frontal blow:

The car body has undergone minimal deformation in the anterior rack and the deepening of the legs. Two -stage airbags, a driver's pillow and belts with pretense and load limiters limited the movement of passengers forward. All these devices, coupled with a strong body, also reduced the loads on the chest cells and the legs of the riders. A lot of effort was applied by the creators of the car to protect the knees and the top of the legs of the front riders. The niche for the legs remained almost sound.

Safety of passenger children:

The presence of a collar of the airbaging pillow of the front passenger was marked by a short -lived icon and a text message on the right central rack. When deactivation of the pillow on the front panel, the light lights up. A well -executed warning about the inadmissibility of the installation of the children's chair “Against the direction of movement” opposite the active pillow of safety is placed on both sides of the sun visor. Recommended by the manufacturer of the Britax Romer Duo Plus chair were installed “in the direction of movement” in ISOFIX mounts and fixed on top. The load on the head and chest of the youngest child was high, but the seats recorded their riders well.

Side blow:

The car is equipped with an impressive protection system for lateral strikes, including side airbags in chairs and inflatable curtains. However, it was not characteristic for real conditions that the distribution of the load between the mannequin and the chair did not allow 1007 to score the maximum number of points.

Pedestrian safety:

The surface of the hood provided some softening of the impact of the head of an adult, however, the head of the child is practically no. The wings and front edge of the hood are quite traumatic. The bumper softened the blow a little.
