Comments:

The new Zafira has ensured the high safety of adult passengers in all indicators, for which he received a five-star rating. With the frontal blow, the body was deformed slightly. Adult protection was at an altitude with frontal and side shocks. Children were also safe, although the protection of pedestrians was average.

Front punch:

The body was deformed slightly, and the driver's door after the strike could be opened with additional effort. Strong body, together with two-stage front airbags, pretensioners and belt load limiters - all this contributed to low loads on the saddle. However, the driver's foot hit the steering column and the adjustment lever of its position, which increases the risk of damage. The deepening for the legs was deformed and laughed not much.

Security of passenger children:

With the exception of a short-lived pictogram on the right side of the front panel, there were no warnings in the cabin on the inadmissibility of the placement of the children's chair "against the direction of movement" at the front of the front passenger with an active security pillow. For a 3-year-old passenger Opel recommended the use of the Britax Romer Duo Plus chair, fixed "in the direction of movement" in ISOFIX locks and with the help of safety straps. For a 18-month, Britax Romer Baby Safe Plus chair was intended, fixed "against the direction of movement" using a seat belt. Both passengers turned out to be normally protected, although with a frontal blow, the load on the chest older and the junior neck was quite high.

Side strike:

The protection system for lateral shock included side airbags in the backs of chairs and curtains to protect the head along the entire length of the cabin. For side strikes about overlapping and pillar, maximum points are accrued.

Pedestrian safety:

The front edge of the car provided normal protection by typing 16 points. The bumper corresponded to the requirements, and the surface of the hood provided mitigation in places where the head of a child and an adult pedestrian falls. However, the front edge of the hood did not provide substantial protection.
