Comments:

EURO NCAP experts allowed Nissan to re-punch after identifying production problems with passive security systems. With a frontal impact, the front stand was damaged, but the body retained the integrity. Driver's head hit the steering wheel. Pedestrians proved to be protected better than usual.

Front punch:

The body sufficiently sustained the blow, despite the fact that the connection of the front rack and the transverse beam in the front panel began to diverge. The front passenger airbag was criticized for unstable contact with the passenger's head. Solid elements under the surface of the front panel and near the drivers' knees should not be injured, but the ignition lock is danger. In turn, the passenger can damage the knees about solid elements in the front panel. The central seat of the seats is equipped with a three-point seat belt, providing better protection compared to the waist.

Security of passenger children:

Both children's chairs are created specifically for Primera. Isofix fastenings are used to install them. An armchair for the older child is also fixed with the upper fastening. The 3-year-old passenger was located in the chair "in the direction of movement", and 18-month-in the chair "against the direction of movement". The eldest turned out to be well protected with frontal and side shocks. The younger protection was not so good with a frontal impact. However, both heads were securely fixed with seats in both types of strikes, which indicates a good result.

Side strike:

PRIMERA has moved well, and only a slightly increased load on the abdominal department of the driver, due to contact with the armrest, represented some threat. The base bundle includes side airbags for head and chest. The latter was well protected by the driver, but the head cushion did not reveal completely, which could cause a smaller driver injury. Security curtain protects rear passengers.

Pedestrian safety:

The hood provided some softening of the strike, but its front part turned out to be very tough. The overall result was above average and a little did not reach the rating of two stars.
