Comments:

For the first time, Micra was tested by Euro NCAP in 1997, and since then the car has not undergone major changes in the design of security systems. With a frontal impact, the result was not very good, and most of the points were awarded for the side blow. Also, children's chairs worked not quite well. Protection of pedestrians is weak, however, at the level of cars of this class.

Front punch:

Driver's airbag well protected his head. There was no passenger pillow, but the blow of his head with the front panel did not happen. The driver's door remained quite a whole, however, despite the presence of a longitudinal bar, it worked not very effectively, as he disconnected from the front rack. The front armchairs seat belts were equipped with pretensioners, pressing the passenger's body when hit. However, despite this, the driver's chest can nevertheless in touch with the steering wheel, which is undesirable, as it can lead to serious injury. In the area of \u200b\u200bthe left knee driver there are extremely dangerous elements that can cause serious damage. The passenger was protected very well. The central seat of the seat of the seats is equipped with a simple waist belt, which can lead to a back injury or abdominal department.

Security of passenger children:

Both children's seats were located "in the direction of movement" and quite well controlled the movement of the bodies of passengers, but the chair of the 1.5-year-old passenger had disadvantages, so low estimates were obtained. Both chairs were able to prevent a sharp jerk forward heads of their saddles with a frontal impact. With lateral impact, the head of the 3-year-old is not kept within the chair. In the 1,5-year-old, with a frontal blow, the load on the neck was too high, and at the side head could not be held within the chair and underwent a strong displacement of the side. Both chairs are equipped with tablets with clear inscriptions, although it is worth noting that the seat belts for a three-year-old child are not labeled red paint. Safety belts can be used for more reliable fixation of the chairs, however, they were not used in the test, since the instructions did not have a clear indication of their use.

Side strike:

Over the side window, the head of the driver strongly hit the lounge of the cabin, which can lead to injury. The load on the sensors in the chest was reduced due to the interaction of the mannequin and the chair, which cannot be with the human body in real conditions. The abdominal department suffered from the protruding armrest.

Pedestrian safety:

Pedestrian protection was bad, like many representatives of this class of cars. Most of the transfer of the car turned out to be attendable, with the exception of one point on the bumper, however, most of the points are exhibited for the soft places of the hood and windshield.
