Comments:

The assessment was subjected to an M-Class of an old design, intended for the US market, where protection should be provided both fastened and unaccounted passengers. Therefore, according to the design, it differs from cars exclusively for the European market. This feature is clearly manifested in the zone where the legs of the front sedimons are resting. To protect the non-unscheduled special beam, it creates an additional risk of injury. M-Class has a solid security system for passengers, but safety belts have high loads on pectoral. Especially good turned out to be sewn with lateral impact, so the side pillows are included in the basic configuration. Protection of the head of the older child with a frontal impact was insufficient, but, in general, children's chairs worked not bad. Pedestrian protection is very bad.

Front punch:

The body strongly stood the blow, the deepening for the legs and the doorway was deformed slightly. the driver's head, in spite of the air bag, hit the steering wheel, which could cause serious damage. The beam in the knee of the front sediments is dangerous. The centerpiece of the rear seat ryadya equipped with three-point seat belt, for better protection than a lap.

Child safety-passenger:

On the likelihood of applying heavy or deadly damage when installing a children's chair "Against the direction of movement" at the place of the front passenger, with an active security pillow, reports a short-lived text warning in two languages. In the test, the chairs established "in the direction of movement" at the rear seat using the first ISOFIX fixtures. The upper fasteners could increase the degree of protection of the older child, the head of which was not protected in due measure, while 18-month would be more security in the chair "against the direction of movement". The branded chairs are recognized by the car when they are installed before the active airbag, and it automatically turns off.

Side strike:

An impressive protection system with lateral impact includes side pillows and security curtains along the entire length of the cabin. For what car received top points.

Pedestrian safety:

The front of the car is very tough and only some points on the front edge of the hood ensured at least some kind of pedestrian protection.
