Protection of adult passengers:

During the frontal impact, the passenger salon was not deformed much. The structural elements of the front panel are a danger to the knees and hips of the front riders. With a lateral strike on the overlap, the readings of sensors are sufficient to set the most positive assessment. However, during the test, the driver’s door was almost opened, for which the penalty score was accrued. With a lateral blow to the column, the protection of the chest was weak. However, when hitting behind, the neck is completely safe.

Safety of passenger children

Based on the readings of the sensors, the maximum assessment was set for the protection of young passengers in the frontal and lateral strikes. At the frontal blow, the head of the elder did not make too much nod forward, and with a lateral hit of the head of both were securely fixed by the seats. The safety pillow of the front passenger can be disconnected, which allows you to install in its place the children's chair “against the direction of movement”. However, informing the driver about the status of the pillow is not clear enough.

Pedestrian protection

Protecting the legs of pedestrians from the front edge of the hood is bad. Most of the places where the head of a child or adult will fall, they ensured a weak softening. Only the bumper provided relatively good protection against damage.

Pedestrian protection

The ESC exchange rate stability system and the alarm about the unsastated security belts of both rows are included in the basic configuration for all Soul versions.
