Comments:

Accent has earned two stars, but the latter was removed for the unacceptably high risk of chest damage during lateral impact. Therefore, the car did not comply with security requirements for lateral blows introduced in Europe in October 1998. The bumper manifested himself well at a pedestrian race - all three test points complied with security requirements.

Front punch:

The passenger salon was significantly deformed. The bottom loop of the driver's door broke away, although the upper preserved. The door itself poorly moved the blow - the front stand went inside. Niche for the legs was practically broken in half. The contact of the driver's head and airbag was stable, but the pillow pillow came in the chest. The overall protection of the lower extremities is estimated as bad.

Security of passenger children:

The manufacturer does not give advice on the used children's chairs, therefore, for the test, the retaining seats were chosen randomly, and it turned out that they are not compatible with the rear seat belts. With a frontal blow, the head of a 3-year passenger was too far forward, although there were no such problems with 18 months. With lateral impact, the chair was deformed and the head of the child was not kept within its limits.

Side strike:

The driver's head hit the upper fastening of the seat belt on the central rack. All regions of the root department experienced a very high burden, as they had a punch of the middle rack and the edge of the door. The same elements were injured by the abdominal department, while reducing the assessment for its protection. However, the defense of the pelvic region was good.

Pedestrian safety:

The bumper manifested itself only well, corresponding to all security requirements. However, all the control points at the front edge of the hood provided poor protection, as well as the place where the head of an adult will fall at the race. Four of the six places of the possible strike of the head of children-pedestrians comply with security requirements.
