Comments:

The CR-V salon space was not significantly deformed, thus ensuring the safety driver and passengers. With a frontal blow, aircraft worked satisfactory. As soon as the rear door is barely discontinued, the rear door spoiled the overall good impression. Children's seats were installed in ISOFIX fastenings and fastened from above, but in the chair "against the direction of movement", the 18-month passenger would feel better. Pedestrian protection is well thought out and makes CR-V in this category the best of all previously tested cars.

Front punch:

Protection with a frontal impact turned out to be normal, but some places under the surface of the front panel can cause serious injuries to the legs. Driver's legs were affected by loads that, under other circumstances, could lead to a knee injury. The central seat of the seat is equipped with a three-point seat belt, which is much safer than waist.

Security of passenger children:

On the central rack and the windshield there were stickers with messages about the presence of airbag, but none of them mentioned the danger of installation in the place of the front passenger of the children's chair "against the direction of movement". In addition, the pillow cannot be turned off to get rid of the threat of injury to the child. And the chair "against the direction of movement" could improve the protection of a 18-month passenger, as in the chair "face ahead" on his neck was affected by very high loads. The ISOFIX system with the upper fasteners worked well and kept the chair at the initial position, although the instruction on its use could be and clearer. Children's chairs provided good protection for heads of children with frontal and side blows.

Side strike:

The combination of the side airbag and reliable roofing of the car well protected the driver. However, during the test, the rear door almost opened, which worsened the overall result. The manufacturer promised to investigate the causes of the incident.

Pedestrian safety:

CR-V has a number of decisions that reduce damage to pedestrians when hitting the car.
