Comments:

C5 well endured strikes. Durable security framework perfectly protected saddles. The car received almost maximal estimates on the results of the windshield and side shocks, as well as a strike of a pillar. However, the rear door opened with lateral impact, which lowered the estimate slightly. Children are not well protected, but pedestrians are weak.

Front punch:

The body has undergone minimal deformation, and the driver's door opened normally. Two-level airbags, a driver's knee cushion and belt pretensioners (for the front passenger - double) worked well in combination with load limiters and a solid body, providing a small load on the chest and legs. Niche for the legs was deformed weakly. The feet of the front sedimons were well protected, the pedals were practically not moved inside the cabin.

Security of passenger children:

In the test used recommended by the manufacturer Britax Romer Duo Plus and Britax Romer Babysafe Plus for 3 and 1.5 summer mannequins, respectively. Chairs were installed face forward. Duo Plus is fixed in ISOFIX mounts, and Baby Safe with seat belts. Both mannequins were well protected, but the load on the chest older was recognized as too high with a frontal impact. Front passenger airbag can be disabled manually, as evidenced by a short-lived icon and text indication on the passenger side of the front panel. Durable warnings about the inadmissibility of the installation of a children's chair "against the direction of movement" on the passenger seat with an active security pillow are located on both sides of the sunscreen visor.

Side strike:

An impressive system of protection for lateral blows includes side airbags for the chest in the backs of chairs and curtains that ensure the safety of two rows at once. If the back door had not opened as a result, the reasons were investigated by the manufacturer, C5 would earn the maximum estimates on the results of the side impact and hit the pillar.

Pedestrian safety:

Pedestrian protection was not provided at the proper level. Only the zone of a possible hit of the head of a shot down child ensures at least some softening. The bumper and the front edge of the hood is very dangerous, as well as places where an adult head will hit the head.
