Cadillac ATS is a Cadillac compact sedan, which produces premium cars. In 2011, the first images of the model appeared. In August of the same year, Cadillac was noticed that the model would be rear-wheel drive. A month later, a test car was seen. In early 2012, ATS was presented at the North American Motor Show.At a press conference in Detroit, the company stated that Cadillac ATS is fully prepared for mass production, which started in the summer of 2012. ATS built on the new GM - Alpha Platform platform. The novelty is designed to compete with cars such as BMW 3-Series, Mercedes C-Class. In the design of Cadillac ATS, the characteristic angular features of the other models of the company are traced. The exterior combines elegance with rapid lines, which emphasize the sporty character of the sedan.

The car is equipped with 3 gasoline engines - atmospheric 2,5-liter four-cylinder and 3.6-liter V6, as well as 2-liter turbocked. All of them are equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission, the latter can also have a 6-speed mechanical transmission. All versions, except for 2.5-liter, can have a four-wheel drive.

At the end of 2013, Cadillac announced the intention to produce ATS in the body coupe. It was presented at the North American Motor Show 2014. The coupe is equipped with the same engines except 2.5 liter.
