Optimistic tragedy

Many were waiting for his appearance, but units will be able to buy. So far, small-scale production of a vase produces only ten three-door hatchbacks VAZ-21123 per month. One of the ten pilot specimens fell into our hands in mid -March.
 
The factory workers do not call their novelty otherwise, although in our understanding this is one hundred percent hatchback. After all, no one will turn to call the tongue that is warmly beloved by the people - a compartment. Two doors were removed from the twelfth, and for you a sports car? To call this capacious word the next novelty, world manufacturers spend millions of dollars, contact the prestigious studio and only after that they roll their creation to the public. And here - one or two, and in the ladies? Somehow immodest.
 
However, the design of the car is noble. His main trump card was the purity of lines, which other representatives of the tenth family lacks so much. It seems that the 123rd visited a good tuning company, where the masters are redrawing the entire suit, not content with sewing up expensive buttons. And the point is not only at the door (it was they who became the main culprits of the changes in the image of the car), but also in the little things that the VAZ finally drew attention to.
 
Take, for example, the rear spoiler. This is an already not worthless growth on the lid of the trunk, but the stylish detail of the exterior, harmoniously combined with the rear racks. An enlarged neckline of the rear wing arch with an elevated upper edge also looks good. Now it will not be necessary to rush around the market in search of spacers to let the wheels breathe.
 
The basic configuration includes 14-inch wheels, but if you wish, you can put low-profile 15- (like ours) and 16-inch- there are enough places in the arches, and the manufacturer, as far as we know, do not mind.
 
The size of the wheels is the only thing that our car was different from small -scale. As it soon became clear, and from the serial too. Alas, the assembly quality - even this, collected almost manually - the sample leaves much to be desired.
 
We open the doors and, in order to go to the second row, try to fold the back of a dozen driver's seat, equipped here with an appropriate mechanism for almost a minute. The same with the right front armchair, however, they dealt with it faster, and it moves forward (at the moment of folding) is much easier.
 
The salon has almost not changed. The same torpedo and devices. The doors received a new upholstery and became wider, but do not reach the size of the eights. This is for the better: now, sitting in the car, you do not need to go out again to reach the handle of a completely open door. As for the convenience of planting and racing of the rear passengers, they are not deprived of anything in this regard, thanks to a more vertical average rack. In the eighth model, it is slightly littered, which compensates for an even wider door.
 
In the basic configuration, the 123rd is equipped with electric windows. Unfortunately, their motors categorically refuse to move heavy glass both down and up, you have to help with your hand. There are no other complaints about the cabin. Unless the noise insulation pumped up: even a standard engine is listening too well. What will it be when his place will take a more angry 1.8-liter? (This option is possible, because small -scale production involves the assembly of cars for a particular buyer.)
 
It would be nice for the factory workers to work on press equipment, from under which body elements are born - door foam and rear wings are crooked.
 
What to ride on domestic machines that have not passed pre -sale, everyone knows. This is not a new foreign car on which I sat and do what you want. Here the approach is somewhat different. First you need to carefully check everything. After the first turn, we have stalled the motor and refused to start. The fault of this was the jumped pipe, which was coming from the filter to the injector, only slightly mounted on the air filter case and completely not tightened. The filter case itself was simply put in the engine compartment and not fixed. After such an embarrassment, we were scared for the car and, to be cunning, for ourselves. Who knows how the brakes and suspension were collected?
 
Probably, after finalizing in the center of the tuning and sports preparation of RRT cars, where the pilot copy is transferred, the picture will be slightly different.
 
The twelfth now costs $ 6500, one hundred twenty -third for 2000 more expensive - because of manual assembly. It is only a pity that the concept of manual assembly in Russia and in the West is not the same thing.
