A year and a half ago, a new UAZ appeared in the editorial office. The term is quite enough to study the strengths and weaknesses of the model. Time to summarize - before you is the penultimate report on the operation of UAZ. The latter will devote the latter to the work on the mistakes: the plant promises to make long -suggesting changes to the design of models 3160, 3162. But we will not run ahead ... Today we will talk about those pros and cons of the sixty -second, which are inherent in modern and future machines.
 
On the asphalt
It is clearly visible here how far a new UAZ stepped from a goat. Up to 110-120 km/h you can not particularly strain. Of course, dependent suspensions make UAZ behavior somewhat specific, and the brakes require a habit, but in general at high speeds you feel safe. True, before passports 150 km/h, I will not advise anyone - the possibility of the chassis is exhausted much earlier than the main size.
Contrary to fears, UAZ and I quickly got used to the city stream. Of course, the dimensions of the wow (4630x2060x1948 mm), but the car is quite frisky and relatively maneuverable, thanks to the new bridges with a large angle of rotation of the controlled wheels (ZR, 2002, No. 8). Plus, a magnificent review - a high landing and a wide horizons allow you to predict the road situation for a couple of moves ahead. Alas, I have not met such wonderful mirrors as in an editorial car on commodity UAZs. And there is still not enough mirror over the fifth door - they hang in the asses of foreign minibuses and jeeps.
If I were a designer, then the main couples in bridges would have set shorter: the current, with a gear ratio of 4.11, are uncomfortable in the city. At 60 km/h in the third gear, the motor is already too noisy, it has not yet been going on the fourth. And the time of overclocking the main couples, for example, 4.375 or even 4.625, will reduce.
With full load - and this is as much as 800 kg! - The sixty -second is gaining speed quite slowly, and in the fifth gear it is able to maintain it only, but not to increase. In general, other couples, in my opinion, would have happened to the ZMZ-409 motor at the very day.
 
On the off -road
I hope that when you read this material, UAZ will already solve the problem with the handout, which we have talked about more than once. Therefore, we will not about sad.
Despite a very presentable look, Simbir - by the way, this is recently his official name, please love and complain - has retained a beautiful family line. Which one? Maybe it sounds a little strange, but it ... does not feel sorry for off -road. Believe me, for an all -terrain vehicle this is a very important property! Remembering the powerful cross -section of the pendant levers, listening to the creak of eternal springs, knowing how reliably the CVAs are protected, boldly plunge into the blurry rut and storm the snowdrifts.
True, off -road can be punished - in winter I paid with a broken fitting in the pallet of the crankcase. Judging by the reviews, some readers doubted that this is possible. I understand you, gentlemen, at first I did not believe his own eyes, but - alas! The spring thaw left a mark in the form of a deformed wall of the fuel tank. By the way, the containers for gasoline are one of the most vulnerable UAZ places: they can suffer when the car sits on the belly.
Judging by the tires, the plant is not very preoccupied with the all-terrain properties of symbirs. The standard K-153 graze in more or less slippery soil; K-151 and other off-road tires that go to the set of the old family are not suitable for high-speed possibilities. Import wheels remain: I chose the Cooper of the S/T, which I consider it a successful compromise - and they keep the car reliably on the asphalt, and they work well in the mud. More toothy tires (now there will be a pun) are too tough for the motor and the current transmission.
 
On the pit
Unfortunately, unfortunately, does not belong to the strengths of our sixty -second. However, over the past 15 thousand, he did not demand a lot of replacements (see table) - giving our technical center a respite after repairs with 30 thousand, which I already talked about. Finally, they defeated the problem with the brakes - the next main brake cylinder (it seems, the fourth in a row) has taken root and still works, knocking on a tree. The brake forces regulator, which on the move irrigated the back door with drops of brakes, caught a decent right away.
The programs jump out - the back in the gearbox and lowered in the handout. Therefore, on off -road, you have to enroll in the crew of the assistant driver to hold naughty levers. Knowing that this is not a method, we will deal with the selfless boxes at the factory. I suspect that the programs are underway - this, by the way, testified to the nature of the depreciation of gears of the reverse, they have already been changed once.
Problems that are customary to attribute to small ones are gradually accumulating, and this is annoying. The heater is still poorly working, the compounds of plastic parts are spanning, from the nodes of the fuel system, vomiting with gasoline ...
After the next replacement of the fuel filter, streams appeared on its case. It was not possible to tighten the fittings. In addition, a gasoline cracked: I somehow did not want to ride with such a detonator over the exhaust manifold. I solved the problem in the complex: I threw out an archaic filter of thin cleaning with many leaky compounds, and in its place put the unlimited from the injection Volga, simultaneously replacing the hose. Thus, he reduced the complexity of then, because the GAZ 3110 filter serves 80 thousand km.
By the way, about service. The volume of work with regular is completely small. The oil in the transmission serves 40 thousand, the engine does not need adjustments - a quite modern level! True, if you have to tighten the belt ... The simple work spills out at an hour of torment: bending down under the hood, you run your hands on the shoulder into the bowels of the motor compartment, trying to wield a key within a quarter of the turnover. With a kind word, you remember a goat, where the hood can be thrown back on the frame of the windshield.
 
ON THE MARKET
A year ago, going to Ulyanovsk, I received a task from a colleague: look for a stepladder springs for the sixty. Sellers in numerous stores were very surprised: what are you, there are few spare parts for this model, and you won’t find such a trifle anywhere. He returned with nothing, sadly making sure that the Simbir was the same road as all the new products of the domestic automobile industry. Original spare parts are rare for them and roads, it remains only to hope for unification with the previous model row, as, for example, with brake nodes. God forbid to damage iron - today's Moscow prices are shocking: hood - 5200 rubles, wing - 1000 rubles, rear light - 400 rubles. The gearbox will cost 8500 rubles, the front bridge is offered for 20 thousand!
Fortunately, the situation is being straightened, expenses can be found, but this is in the capital. And in the province? What can we say about the company service ...
 
In accounting
In one of the past reports, I noted that UAZ 31622 is very expensive - by 30 thousand costs amounted to 1.26 rubles/km without taking into account the cost of gasoline. Today, every kilometer is already worth a rupe of half ... in fairness I must say that the budget has greatly spoiled the tires. On the other hand, you will not go far without travel wheels.
Of the undoubted advantages, I will call a moderate appetite again - a large all -terrain vehicle shows the average operational consumption of 14.7 l/100 km! On the highway, even less - excellent for a two -ton car.
UAZ 3160 can be bought for $ 8 thousand, a long sixty -second - for 10-12 thousand. In my opinion, the price is overstated. If you put up with shortcomings, it must be reduced; If you redo all the disadvantages into the pros, save the car from damp structure, the current cost will be an excellent offer in the market of all -terrain vehicles. I would prefer the second ... so that, parting with a big symbir, write the last report on editorial trials with sadness.
For 45 thousand, the editorial UAZ somewhat lost the external gloss: paint flew out of the thresholds, the rear bumper wiped the baldness on the paint, in the composite front - a considerable gap. And on the rear wing from under the paint, rust appears ... while these are trifles, but I do not want to put up with them.
